| Your boat is slowly approaching the dock of Helfire. Helfire is the name of both the island and the town that lays on it. It is one of many small islands that lay in the Lioness Archipelego (yes, that's _peLEGO, not _pelago :-). The town is built to microfig scale. It is partly inspired by Jeremy and Barbara Sproat's microfig creations. However, my micro scale is quite a bit smaller than their scale. Microfig scales are totally undefined and this is my version. Mainly, I designed the scale around the pieces I have - the size of the baseplate and my limited amount of tan bricks. Now for descriptions: Top left: two houses and the Helfire dock. Top right: walking up the dock; you see a church (grey) and a few houses. slightly hidden is the town's small pond. Bottom left: another view of the church. Also a stone house, the only one in Helfire. Bottom right: (r to l) the Bloodstone Inn, a small peasant house, the Legocean (bkground) and a large peasant house. Behind the church's cross there is another small house. |

| Aerial views of Helfire Here you can see the whole town (more like a village). Most of the inhabitants are poor peasants. The Bloodstone Inn, the Church and the stone house are the only buildings built of stone. The grey dot is a well. Below, left: a view from the other side. There's another well at the back of the inn. Below, right: (r to l) the church, the stone house, a curved tan house (near pond), three peasant houses, the inn. |

| A friendly dragon passes through Helfire. The dragon is shown real size in this scale... :-) I'd like to note something about the microfig Inn's roof. I tried to keep it similar to the real thing, and encountered some difficulties regarding the roof - there aren't such tiny roof pieces. But they say need is the father of inventions... |

| I don't think anyone wrote about this before. I didn't recall any MOC that used such a design (a double corner peak). So I tried to do it myself, and it worked! Using one 1x2 slope peak, an apex slope, and a peak slope, I managed to create the inn's roof (shown above). More detailed pics are shown below, click to enlarge. (And yes, that's a *light* blue plate ;-) | |||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
