Hobbits

Hobbits are the smallest speaking people of Middle-Earth. Their height usually only reaches 2-4 feet and they have large feet with thick, curly brown hair. Hobbits have thick soles and prefer to walk barefoot. They shy away from adventure and anything out of the ordinary and prefer quiet and uneventful lives. Hobbits have a great heart and if they are pressed can be very valiant. Most hobbits live in holes dug into the side of hills, although some live in one-story houses. Hobbits can be found living in the land they call the Shire. It was in the Third Age of Middle-Earth that the One Ring of power fell into the hands of the hobbit, Bilbo Baggins. His adopted heir Frodo brought the ring to Mount Doom and destroyed it.
