Holiday Blues
28th December 1998

You'd learn something new everyday:
A seal maintains its body temperature by sticking its flippers into the air. So don't think it's waving at you. It's just feeling hot.

Sudden inspirations or cravings:
I want to repaint my room.

Anyone miss me? I've been gone to Australia for the past one week. Just come back from the airport now actually....god am I tired. But I'm still writing this entry!! Is anyone touched? hehe..

This trip has been kinda fruitful for me. I might talk more about it for later entries when I run out of inspiration.

I wish I don't have to come back. I like holidays. They make me feel like I have no responsibilities, no worries, no deadlines. But as I come back in a taxi just now, reality all came back to me again. I have not made my International Student Card yet, I have four application essays and 2 short answers to do, I need to find a job, there are tonnes of clothes to wash from the holiday...blah blah...

Of course, the fact that I was travelling with my family helped a lot. I don't have to worry about check-in, check-in, air tickets, etc etc. Oh, and the money for shopping too. Hehe...I'm happy to have it in records that I have almost spent all the money my dad gave me. $0.20 left. =)

On the other hand, I'm happy to be home. The comfort, the familiarity, the bed...aahh...pure bliss to be sleeping in my own bed, complete with all the spoilt springs no doubt, without the TV too, but it's MY bed...hehe...

Contradictions contradictions contradictions. Hehe, I can't make up my own mind.

I guess the best place to be is my dreams. I have not had nightmares for a very long time. Not even slightly irritating dreams. In my dreams, all my worries dissolve into thin air and life is easy and sometimes totally hilarious. I should talk more about my dreams in the future.

Therefore the conclusion is, the best place on Earth is my dreams, on my "perfect" bed.

A close second is anywhere creditors or irritating people cannot find me.

2nd runners-up is probably the beach, but not the oily one on Pulau Ubin. I'm referring to the one on Gold Coast. Imagine, warming sunshine, clean pure sand, beautiful horizon, clear water and handsome guys with great abs..ooh...where's the tissue paper, my drool is dripping....haha........gross....

Never mind, I'm getting too carried away. I really love the Gold Coast. It's not just the guys. hehe. Wait for tomorrow's entry.

I am sunburnt, but not tanned. Damn damn damn.
