Sweating like a pig

2315h
Feeling... intensely hot
Happiness of the day: had laksa for breakfast. laksa!!
Event of the week: going out with agnes, maybe?

Unfortunately, I'm still alive! Muahaha...I mean, obviously I'm happy I'm alive, what the heck am I talking about. I'm speaking on behalf of people who are waiting for me to kick the bucket so to get my soft toy collection, my CD collection, my car, my kidneys or whatever I'm worth. The flight back was fine, though there was some &*^%$#@ mechanical problems on the flight from Tokyo back to Singapore, and the flight was delayed. Which is bad because the original arrival time was already very late. Seeing my mom standing there waiting for me at the airport, almost half asleep, made me feel quite bad. I tell you, these planes NW uses for Singapore-Tokyo flights are screwy. When I was first flying off, 2 years ago, it was also this particular lag of the journey that had problems. hmm.

anyway, actually I got back about 2 days ago, but it was just quite difficult getting online at home. For one, now I have to share the connection with my dad and brother. secondly, I've been busy just informing my relatives that I'm home, not even my friends yet. thirdly, I really don't like this keyboard. Just the thought of typing something vaguely long-ish using this keyboard just kills my enthusiasm. I've not configured my laptop to use the connection at home yet, so it'll be some time before I can erm, type properly.

And it's too freaking hot here! argh! I freaking sweat like a pig everytime I sit at the computer too much, partly cos the aircon is not on here, and partly cos the computer gives up too much heat. [yes, I know that sounds ridiculous, but I swear, I sweat more here than anywhere else in the house.] I absolutely refuse to step out of the house anytime soon. not until my sweat glands learn to calm down a little.

Things have changed at home. Small things, I guess, but I noticed them all. They moved this potted plant to another corner. We don't have HL milk anymore, but Daisy milk. My brother got darker. We have a new rice cooker. My mom has diabetes. yes, I just found out that my mom has diabetes...on one hand, I'm so pissed off that they didn't tell me anything before this, when obviously she's known for a long time. On the other hand, I know why they didn't tell me. The same reason I didn't tell them about the car skid I experienced at wisconsin. Hmm. Really, my mom's getting old. And my dad. I even noticed the aunty at the market looking older than before. One year by one year, everyone's older now. sigh.

I'm gonna cut this short. I need to take another shower. argh. No matter what, flight delay, impending heat stroke and all, I'm really glad I'm home. After all, it is home.
