Finally, I have gone to Sentosa! Eat your heart out, Poach! It was a class outing organised by Agnes and Yingxuan. It was great! Thanks a lot, my dears.
Originally, we wanted to take this opportunity to match make Mr Ng (read about him here) with another teacher. Although he couldn't make it, we still had lots of fun. Hehe. It looked really pathetic at first in the morning as some of the guys who were supposed to come decided to go for some soccer games in the morning first, so only a few of us actually turned up. But as we got there, the sun, sand and sea just overwhelmed us. Cheryl, Agnes, Yingxuan and I very happily just jumped into the sea to play. It was so shiok! Then, we played beach volleyball on the scaldingly hot sand. It was really funny, like seeing the way Agnes struggled, trying to hit the ball in the right direction. Then, Tee Joo and Johnny happily used their botak heads to head the ball. Haha.....I guess the lack of hair just made it easier to direct the ball, isn't it? Hehe... Before Wallace, David and Jinghua came, the sky began to look dark. We decided to move to a shelter. Oh, by then, we were damn thirsty already, but our dearest David who was supposed to be bringing drinks really took his time in coming. Tsk tsk tsk...the rest of us had to resort to buying expensive drinks that are targeted at tourists or damn stupid people like us. Argh. Then, we met this group of young people, who wanted to join us for our volleyball game. As we played, it started to rain. But, being the perfectly healthy teenagers in the state of "high", we just played on. It was the most shiok thing that I have done in the past 2 years at least. It was great, to feel the rain hitting on our backs and faces, to know that we were being looked at by the people in the shelter. Oh, the only bad thing about it was the wet sand stuck to our hands and as sand fell on our faces, we couldn't even wipe them away. But even that was cool. Hehe. We went on to play captain's ball with the young people we met after some time. We were thrashed, to put things mildly. It was so obvious that they had more formation and speed. [ At this point of time, please picture poor little me and Agnes struggling to run on the sand. Huff huff puff puff. Haha. ] But anyway, we had a great time. Reminded me of the times when we played during PE, the rush of adrenaline as we fight to get the ball, the sense of relief as we manage to block the opponent's attacks. Wow.. After we got tired, we went on to bathe and blah blah blah...but when we wanted to leave, it was still raining. Obviously we didn't want to get wet again, so we just sat down along the steps outside the building, talking about crappy things about why snakes are scared of sulphur. Oh, David also managed to come up with another classic line about him being charming and blah. Haha. As if. Finally, David saw two guys getting onto their van, sprinted up to ask if we could get a lift. Hey, we succeeded! I just knew that David had a way with all guys, girls, old or young. Hehe. We went on to sing karaoke at this KTV lounge that was full of Ah-Bengs and Ah-Lians singing very badly. Hehe. The night was quite memorable, from realising that David and Tee Joo actually sing quite well, to teasing Wallace about how shy he is. Haha...I finally realise why people liked to go for karaoke sessions. Hehe..... It's times like this that makes me feel that our friendship should be able to last. There was a time when I felt that this group of friends has started to degenerate, maybe ever since the guys' brains began to degenerate during army. Hehe..but now, I feel much better. Indeed, they are just like before, our jokes are just as unfunny, we are all just as good friends as before. Sigh...Bliss of precious friendships... |
| Alas, my wrist has swollen from playing too much volleyball. Ouch. But still feeling blissful~ *smile* |
