Mood: bored Fact of the day: The first novel in history was written by an anonymous Japanese woman - The Tale of Genji. event of the week: mugging for my exams next week.
Today is the day I start preparing for my 3 tests on Monday. Today and tomorrow are the days that will determine if I will survive on Monday.
Last night, I went to the girls' place to watch 10 Things I Hate About You. [Yes, my dear friend, yet another time.] And I still like it so much. I mean, sure it's not exactly the most intellectual show around, but it's a feel-good show. And the characters in the show just crack me up: the black literature teacher who raps the Shakespearean sonnet; the counsellor who is writing an erotic novel; the psychotic paranoid dad. Since I've practically already watched this show about 10 thousand times, I knew exactly where the sweet moments are. Sitting together with Priya, we always sighed at all the right moments...naturally irritating/amusing David and Shaun who were just sitting next to us.
Sometimes, I really need to watch shows like that. To make me feel good about this world. Maintain a certain sense of humour about everything that happens. I can't really explain how shows that are so obviously fairy-tale-like can do that to my mind, but I just feel more comforted when I watch them.
So I can be ready to start studying today. Ahem.
