Mood: ready to go Fact of the day: Every person has an unique tongue print. Hey, but I just scalded my tongue. Ouch. Does it change my tongue print? Hmm....ponder ponder... event of the week: Watching the Jekyll and Hyde musical tonight.
I called home yesterday. And amongst the many things my mom and I talked about, one of the things I mentioned to her was, how blessed I feel these days. Though it's been times when I feel so beaten down, so stressed up, so busy and all, most of time, I feel pretty good. Because my friends here have been so incredibly wonderful, I think I'm the luckiest person on earth.
My friends around me make me feel blessed. On Friday, I had dinner at shaun's place. He cooked a little too much food, so he asked me over for dinner. Oh well, not like he specifically cooked for me, but it felt good enough, to be able to go into his apartment, and just sit down and eat. After dinner, wash the dishes out of courtesy, drink some juice, watch some spastic comedy on comedy central, and then go home.
At home, lynn has cooked dinner as well, and she left some soup for me. It smells so good. She chided me for going to shaun's place for dinner, because she cooked dinner as well, and she had steamed fish, which of course, is such a rare treat I shouldn't have missed it. Hahahah. Though lynn didn't specifically cook for me either, because she didn't even know I would be home, I also felt so good, that at least she left some soup for me.
I should also mention priya. She's not on my castlist yet, because I've been a lazy bum. But she's been very important to me. One of my best-est friends here. Always accomodating, kind and sweet, she's given me a lot of warmth and support when I was down. Whenever I needed help, or some sensible advice, she's always been there for me. Love her lots. We went to California last year together, and had such a good time. So this thanksgiving break, we're going to New York together. Man, I'm so looking forward to that.
I feel so lucky, to have these wonderful people around. They're not the only ones of course. Have to mention chee wai, so painstakingly helped everyone configure their computers in the house, for the cable modem thingy. Josh and especially Lam Lap, who came to my rescue last night, when my car died-ed on me. Alvin, who despite his chides and disapproving looks, always lends me his homework to look at when I'm desperate. Li who hugs me the most.......blah, so many people, who's making my life a lot more live-able.
Yes mom, there's nothing to worry about. I'm perfectly fine here...these angels made sure of that.
