Mood: in shock Fact of the day: Oscar Wilde spent two years in prison for committing "unnatural acts" with Lord Alfred Douglas. event of the week Annual General Meeting of SSA. which I didn't miss after all.
I've become the treasurer for the ssa here. gasp.
I should have expected something like this to happen. I should have known.....Since there aren't that many of us and so many of them don't even want to join the committee, there really isn't a lot of choices left. It's actually kind of embarassing, because by the time they came to the job of treasurer, I was the only one left who's nominated and didn't decline. Oh well.
But why treasurer! Oh man, they trust me with their money? I'd bet they didn't know about my history of losing wallets, my bad financial management background and all. I would rather be a secretary, but I guess Angel would make a better secretary. But there are so many people better at counting money than me too! Just too bad they declined.
I should probably be pleased that at least I'm in the committee, to be more active in the ssa and all, but maybe chasing after people for money isn't really my cup of tea. After all, if I'm going to do a bad job, I'd might as well let someone else do it. Argh. I'm just struck by a sudden panic attack. Argh.
Maybe I should quit.
