Ahhh...Vicious. The antagonist of Cowboy Bebop isn't the most original character ever (COUGHSephirothCOUGH). But instead of only playing a traditional foil role, Vicious is quite like Spike in many ways. Either could have wound up on the side of the syndicate, but apparantly Vicious was a tad more power hungry. Vicious was a bit more calm and collected than Spike, so he seemed more diabolical I suppose. And...he has a Sephi sword, which is always cool. Anyway, I thought it was nice how the series showed a bit of Vicious' past, even though more story of life in the syndicate could have helped. At the end of the series, when the coup was accomplished, Vicious was full in character, although his whole "waiting at the top of the building" thing was a bit unrealistic.
Well, the bottom line on Vicious: The character's been done, but sword/gun fights are fun (short though).
