Places to find anime

My Anime Experience

I was first "exposed" to certain animes like DBZ and Sailor Moon (shh..) on a local channel and later they moved to Cartoon Network. (Added note: I saw Princess Mononoke in theaters around this time, and was very impressed). Then I later saw GundamW and Tenchi Muyo!, and heard that Blockbuster carries anime (shut up, I know I was ignorant). Then I rented the Tenchi movies and liked them. Then I rented Vampire Hunter D and liked it. Then, after seeing GundamW, I rented Neon Genesis Evangelion and was thoroughly intrigued by its amazing mix of action and psychology (and sociology, which I was taking). Then that brought me to the online world of anime, where I could find much more information on the topic that has brought so much entertainment to my life. I also first saw the masterpieces Akira and Ghost in the Shell (not as good as Akira, though) at this point. I then looked into the prices and such of anime, and decided that it was crazy. So then, I looked into a dvd player (because more anime episodes are put on dvd for the same price AND they were bilingual) and purchased one in the near future from that moment. Then I recieved my dvd player and my first volume of Neon Genesis Evangelion in the mail, and kept going...
