The following list is to
some of the cool extra and secrets you can find in the game, I've also
listed some of the bugs you can find in the game as well.
Unlock Difficulty Select
Finish, Shining Force 3 Scenario Two, and create a completed save
file, now when you start a new game or load up a previous save game.
Go to the configuration menu and below Battle Message a Difficulty Select
will have now appeared with this you can make the game much harder.
Unlock Sound Test
Finish, Shining Force 3 Scenario Two, and create a completed save
file, now when you start a new game or load up a previous save game.
Go to the configuration menu and highlight the Difficulty Select and
then press down on the joypad a new menu option will appear. With this
option you can listen to all the Music, Jingles, Sound Effects and Voices
found in the game.
Strange Shopkeeper
One of the funnier things in scenario 2 is the shopkeeper in Airo,
you'll notice that only one shopkeeper is every in the room at any one
time and when you ding the bell the other shopkeeper leaves the room
very quickly. If you wander around the back of the shop you'll find
a back door that leads you into a room full of clothes, turns out that
are shop keeper is a master of disguise.
Quick load (Scenario 2 & 3)
To quickly load up you last save game, while playing press and
hold A+B+C & START and keep them held down, the game will soft reset
and load up your last save game. This trick is very handy for when you're
trying to get the blacksmith to make a certain item or if you like the
best level up's possible. Note, you must keep A+B+C & START held down
else, it will just soft reset the game back to the title screen.
Remove Battle Text in fight Scene's
If you press start while the 3D fight cut scenes are being played,
the character name and energy bars will disappear.
Change Battle Map Camera Angle
To change the view while on a battlefield, press the X button,
there are 3 different views you can choose from.
Changes Fight Scenes Camera Angle (Scenario 2 & 3)
To change the view while watching a 3D fight cut scene press Y
or Z for different views.
Sound Bug
The in game music drops out from time to time, happens more with
the faster pace tunes.
Counter Bug, Enemies Gain Experience
Sometimes the enemies will gain experience when they counter one
of your characters, a prime offender of this is the Vandal, don't worry
however as even if they do get 100 points they can't go up a level.
Julian Picture Bug
If you finished a PAL scenario 1 and promoted Julian during scenario
1 and then carried the save file over too scenario 2. Then in all the
talk scenes in scenario 2 Julian will speak with his unprompted picture.
Not all player report this bug happens to them.
Disappearing Sprite Bug
Not too many people have had this one but it does happen and anyone
can produce it. I've had it happen to me in all three scenarios. It's
possible in battle, when moving a character, to get them to fall through
the floor. Find and area where there are 2 different heights, and a
sheer drop between then, the bigger the drop the more likely this will
happen. Then move your character rapidly between the too different heights,
when the character drops down, there is a chance they will crash through
the floor, leaving only their top half visible. The first time I had
this happen I was playing scenario 3, it was the final battle of chapter
3 and Donhort dropped into the floor, you couldn't see his legs. It
also works better if the drop is off a cliff ledge rather than a box
or barrel.
Scenario 2 Crewart Key Bug
On very rare occasions it's been known for Crewart not to pass
the Saraband key to Medion's team meaning you get stuck at the start
of chapter 5. It is said to happen if a character has a full inventory
and counter Crewart, you can also increase the chances of it happening
if every one else also has a full inventory. Normally Grantack should
take it but it has been known for him not too, this bug is very very
rare however.
Jail Item Dupe Bug
In the scenario 2, jailbreak battle you can dupe items and make
as many as you like. Take the item you want to dupe with you into to
the battle, during the battle give that item to either Medion, Syntesis
or Arthur once you have done that use a return spell. You will now find
that the character that gave the item away will now have a copy of it
in their inventory and so will the character who was given it. Word
of advice you may want to dupe lots of Health Bread and Brave Apples,
to help Garosh clear his stat's bug in scenario 3.
