Secret & Cool Stuff for Scenario 1

The following list is to some of the cool extra and secrets you can find in the game, I've also listed some of the bugs you can find in the game as well.

Unlock Difficulty Select
Finish, Shining Force 3 Scenario One, and create a completed save file, now when you start a new game or load up a previous save game. Go to the configuration menu and below Battle Message a Difficulty Select will have now appeared with this you can make the game much harder.

Unlock Sound Test
Finish, Shining Force 3 Scenario One, and create a completed save file, now when you start a new game or load up a previous save game. Go to the configuration menu and highlight the Difficulty Select and then press down on the joypad a new menu option will appear. With this option you can listen to all the Music, Jingles, Sound Effects and Voices found in the game.

Extra Voices
If you go to the sound test and listen to the playable characters voices, you will hear a number of voices not used in Scenario 1, it's believed that they were going to be used as the voices for level 3 super's with other weapons.

Flagard Blacksmith
Most people know about this, but there is a Blacksmith in Flagard, whom you can visit, at the start of chapter 5, the entrance to his shop is hidden in a side alley sandwiched between two buildings.

Remove Battle Text in fight Scene's
If you press start while the 3D fight cut scenes are being played, the character name and energy bars will disappear.

Change Battle Map Camera Angle
To change the view while on a battlefield, press the X button, there are 3 different views you can choose from.

Penn Cameo in Aspinia
Penn can make a cameo appearance in Aspinia, if you look around the back of the shop you should see a bright orange box. Go to the fountain and find the girl in a bikini, who asks you not to push her around, now push her into the orange box, if done correctly the girl will disappear and Penn will shoot out of the box before running off. If you enter a building and then come back outside the girl will come back and you can push her in again if you like.

Penn Cameo in Flagard
Penn can also make a cameo appearance in Flagard, while in chapter 4, inspect the large rock pile in the north west corner of Flagard. Penn will jump out of it and start running around the town, note this cameo can only be seen once.

Destroy the Colossus (Japanese Version Only)
This will be explained more in the chapter 6 guide, but in the Japanese version you can destroy the Colossus, after you have blown off both his arms get Kahn to use the Elbesem Orb on it. You will now be able to attack the body of the Colossus, which has 4000hp giving him 6000hp in total! Sadly this feature was removed from the English version of scenario 1, but if you kill the Colossus in the Japanese version, then load up the save file in the English version the Colossus will still be dead.

Sound Bug
The in game music drops out from time to time, happens more with the faster pace tunes.

Infinite Experience Points in Abdark/Vandal Battle
It's possible to gain infinite experience points in the Vandal battle, equip your characters with long-range weapons, now get to the Vandal. Don't use the Elbesem Orb on him instead, get a character to draw him as close as you can to the entrance of his room and get the Vandal to cast spark on that character a number of times, reducing the Vandal 's MP to 0. Now stand just outside the room and use your long-range weapons to attack him , as the Vandal can't leave his room and once his MP is used up he is unable to attack you. So you're free to attack him and gain as much experience as you like and as you haven't used the Elbesem Orb on him he can't take any damage.

Counter Bug, Enemies Gain Experience
Sometimes the enemies will gain experience when they counter one of your characters, a prime offender of this is the Vandal, don't worry however as even if they do get 100 points they can't go up a level.

Have More Than 100 Experience Points Bug
This bug happens after the train/refugee battle and only seems to effect Synbios, on some occasions. If Synbios is near a level up let say he has 86 exp and he get 50 experience points for saving the refugees, instead of giving him the level up. It's been know for the game to add the experience points together but not level up Synbios so he ends up with 136 exp. Don't worry however as the next enemy you attack will give you the level up.

Zero Doesn't take Ship Key Bug
During the battle at Flagard if you get the Ship Key from Fiale and then return to HQ and give your advisor the key. The after the battle Zero won't take the key meaning that you will be unable to rescue general Rogan in Scenario 2 despite the fact you got the key.

Disappearing Sprite Bug
Not too many people have had this one but it does happen and anyone can produce it. I've had it happen to me in all three scenarios. It's possible in battle, when moving a character, to get them to fall through the floor. Find and area where there are 2 different heights, and a sheer drop between then, the bigger the drop the more likely this will happen. Then move your character rapidly between the too different heights, when the character drops down, there is a chance they will crash through the floor, leaving only their top half visible. The first time I had this happen I was playing scenario 3, it was the final battle of chapter 3 and Donhort dropped into the floor, you couldn't see his legs. It also works better if the drop is off a cliff ledge rather than a box or barrel.

Leave Railhead Early Bug
Interesting bug which allows you to leave Railhead early, I have yet to try this bug so I'll post what Guilherme said at http://sf3.zophar.net

Once Chapter Two starts, your party will be in the Headquarters. After some dialogue, you must leave the HQ. Press "Y" to make the camera align correctly, so you can follow the directions given here. So, go up the stairs, and stay near the three to the right. Now, face the small wall near you. Keep forcing Synbios' face against the wall while turning the camera, until he "enters the wall" and starts walking "underground". Keep trying, it's very easy to do!! Now, all you need to do is to guide Synbios through the outside margins of the city, until he reaches the gate. You may lose him of sight sometimes, but the camera will help you to locate yourself. Once you step outside the gate, you'll leave Railhead without Irene and Julian will join you!

Chapter 6 Spiriel Talk Scene Bug
In the English version of scenario 1, the catacomb cutscene at the end goes wrong and some of the characters start saying the wrong text, ending up with Synbios speaking and Dantares saying "……". Spiriel picture is also messed up for some reason, some copies of SF3 don't have this bug.
