After learning the secrets of the Xel'Naga, and witnessing the defeat of his creators, Artanis pursued the lone survivor of the Zerg assualt on the Xel'Naga fleet. After nearly a quater of a century of warp speed, they board the Xel'Naga ship in orbit of Earth. After learning that the primeapes of the planet will eventually evolve into a species of extremely powerful beings, psionically and technologically, Artanis wishes to help the Xel'Naga by not letting the Terrans get in the middle of the war between the Protoss and Zerg. Two Dark Templar scour the planet in it's darkest hour, seeking Doran Routhe. The plan to kill the mastermind of the project to colonize deep space was a failure. The only chance they had to stop the Super-Carriers was to destroy the vessels from the inside. After the charges were laid, the commandos aboard the carriers boarded the Arbiter and killed its crew. With no options left, Artanis detonated the charges, and the ships never made it to the Koprulu Sector...
