The Past
"Good morning Jamie, have a good sleep?"
Jamie smiled at Karr, "yes I did thank you Karr, don't worry about the dishes, I'll get them later"
"No it's alright, I'll do them." He continued to wash the dishes while he talked. "Are you going somewhere?"
"Yep, I'm going for a little run, I'll be back soon ok." she walked towards the door.
"Alright Jamie, be careful, and call me if you need me."
"You got it." with that she darted out the door ready to get some fresh air and began jogging down a trail through the forest. ""Ahh, it sure feels good to get out of that cramped lab:: She jogged at and easy pace until she came to a small river and sat down on a rock to take a break. Jamie looked at the flowing water and yawned as she leaned back on the rock. "Sure is a nice day, I wonder what everyone else is doing..." she muttered to herself.
Suddenly Shin appeared standing by the river and said, "Yes it is a nice day."
Jamie blinked once again surprised and sat up quickly. "Shin!"
Shin turned around and smiled warmly at Jamie and bowed. "I said I would come back and visit you."
Jamie smiled happily and ran up and hugged Shin. "I missed you."
"I missed you too Jamie...." Shin just stood there as a warm feeling came over him.
She stopped hugging him and stood in front of him smiling. "I'm glad you came, I've been bored lately."
He smiled again, "It's no problem, so what are you doing out here?"
"Oh, I was just taking a little jog, I needed to get away from the lab for a bit."
"I see..." he said and walked to the rock and took a seat in front of the water. "It is very peaceful out here."
"Yeah, I come out here a lot to get away." Jamie sat next to Shin and looked at the water as well.
She looked over at Shin and smiled lightly as he looked back at her.
"Is there something wrong Jamie?" he asked hesitantly.
Jamie smiled even more and nodded her head, "No nothing wrong, you just have nice eyes thats all." she turned back to the water blushing.
Shin blushed and looked away feeling his face get hot when she said that. "Thank you, yours are beautiful as well."
"So Shin...who else is on the kaioshinkai with you...like a friend or something?" she looked back at him.
Shin glanced at her, "Well, there used to be other kai's like me there, but Bibidi and his monster took them away...so no one lives there but me now."
Jamie looked shocked for a second and muttered "Bibidi..."
"Thats right, he was an evil wizard..." Shin looked concerned at her shocked face and tilted his head.
She blinked and curled her legs up in her arms remembering the name and closed her eyes.
"Jamie is somtheing wrong, tell me please.." Shin said feeling scared for her now.
"I remember that name...Bibidi...." her voice shook a bit as she spoke.
Shin put a hand on her shoulder, "Jamie calm down and tell me what you remember..."
Jamie sighed and looked up at him, "Ok, it was a long time ago, I can't even remember how long ago...this wizard as he called himself, Bibidi, saught my help in creating an invincible being that couldn't be defeated. I was a renowned scientist at the time, and his reward was great, but after hearing about his true plans for the creature, I backed out of the deal. He was furious and captured me and forced me to design the creature against my will...I didn't make the design completely flawless, I had hoped to destroy it as soon as he brought it to life...but when the design was complete he sealed me up in a crystal...and there I slept for centuries...until finally I was awakened and found myself in the dungeon where Karr was kept." she looked up sadly at Shin who was deep in thought.
Shin just stared at her not wanting to believe what he just heard.
Tears started to fall from her eyes, "Shin...it's my fault your friends were killed...that Buu design was mine!"
Shin put his hand to her cheek and wiped away a tear. "No Jamie, its not your fault, you didn't have a choice in the matter."
Jamie started crying and buried her face in his chest as she finally realized what her design had done.
"Jamie...its alright, that was the past, everything will be fine now..." he put his arms around her and let her cry.
"Shin...." she whispered and looked up at him with tears falling from her eyes. "Thank you..."
He looked down at her and smiled softly, "Jamie....I love you...." he said and blushed as he ran his hands gently through her hair.
"I love you to Shin..." she smiled back at him and they kissed softly for a few minutes as the morning breeze swept through the forest. They sat there on the rock overlooking the water as they held eachother, not wanting the moment to end.
