Gallen Lo as Ding Sin Boon is a very kind person and sometimes too kind to his family as he feels that he owns them as they adopted him, so he does absolutely anything for them. His kind-heart leads to many troubles for himself ranging from losing his girlfriend to going to jail and to losing his life. he is from a rich family doing jewellery business but his father became rich trhough doing many illegal things and now Gallen has to suffer from the consequences. He is not only nice to his family but also very nice to others like Anne Heung, who mistakes his kindness for love.
Jessica Hsuan as Ching Ting Nam is a very professional barrister who promotes justice and believes in the court system. Though, she is very calm and proffessional towards her work, she can be easily hurt and is very weak when it comes to love. Her proffessionalism towards her work and her weakness with love makes her and Gallen's relationship very vulnerable and they eventually break up due to their frequent opposing situation in court. However, in both Gallen and her heart, they still love each other very much.
Deric Wan as Chong Sau Hong is Gallen's biological brother but he doesn't know this till the end and is a police officer who has a bright future and at the start was an undercover cop. During this mission he finds out that Gallen and his rich family is associated with the "black" side of society ang that their business does "dirty" things to get them where they are now and to get more money. After his undercover mission, he tries to get Gallen into jail and reveal to everyone that their family has "dirty" money. He is a quick-witted cop and persistent or stubborn. He is persistent with his aim to get Gallen into jail for the illegal things he has done and stubborn with his love for Jessica, which is unrequitted.
Anne Heung is a jewellery designer for Gallen's jewellery company and she is one of the top jewellery designers in Hong Kong. She has had a very bad past as she has been physically, mentally and sexually abused by her ex-boss, Sek Sau. Her younger brother fell into a coma because of an accident and she needed quick money at the time to save her brother's live so she chose to be Sek Sau's mistress. She thought that he would treat her well but then he never liked her and was just playing around and started to abuse her in many ways causing her to be both mentally and physically ill. She couldn't leave him because of his powers and out of coincidence she met Gallen, and out of Gallen's niceness, he saved her from him. Because he saved her and provided her with a job and treated her as a his friend and human being (unlike how she was treated by sek Sau), she fell in love with him.
Raymond Lam as Ding Sin Hung is Gallen's brother of his adopted family. He just finished university in America and has not interest at all in doing business and looking after his family business. He is a young, playful boy who likes to have fun rather than sit in an office and do work. However, this all changed as he found out that Gallen is not his real brother and that under the influence of his evil uncle, he wants to be in control of the family's business and the money. At this point, his kind nature is being controlled by by greed over money and uses Tavia's love for him as a weapon to gain his own ends.
Michelle Yip as Ching Siu Yu is Jessica's younger sister and is also a police officer who is in Deric's team. She is a typical young girl who has just joined the workforce. She admires her head, Deric, very much for his great ability as a cop and this admiration soon turns into love. However, she never exlained her love for him as she realised that he never liked her and just treated her like his little sister rather than his girlfirend. Most important of all was that Deric has another girl in his mind and that was Michelle's sister, Jessica. Michelle also has a very close relationship with Jessica and cares for her affairs alot especially Jessica's relationship with Gallen as it is full of obstacles.
