Your Eyes
And when I looked into your eyes
I was drawn into worlds of wonder -
how magnificent that
simple balls of flesh, meaningless
should yet drive their meaning in my mind.
The look that you then gave me -
it thrilled me waking and sleeping
transformed a quite ordinary face
into the master of my dreams.
Perhaps I should wax poetic, talk
about orbs of heaven,
but truer to say simply -
your eyes delight me.
