Bolero, known as Baggy, a name derived from his racing identity of Bagoletta was a bay thoroughbred gelding standing 15.2hh. I purchased him from Tracy Syrimi in 1994, as a 6 year old. Tracy had done some basic groundwork with him when he came off the racetrack. He was a loving, kind horse with huge soft brown eyes.
We competed in hacking and showjumping for one year. He was a pleasure to own and ride. I purchased Shorty, my grey stockhorse gelding in 1995 and campaigned both horses together.
Sadly Baggy was put to sleep following a sudden bought of irreversibly colic in 1997. |
