Shikon No Tamashii
A Kikyou Shrine
|
Old Updates
14 July 2006 Normally I would only update once a month, but after reading the latest manga chapters, I felt that as a fan of Kikyou and the webmistress of a shrine dedicated to her, I just had to do something now. So I modified the layout as a tribute to Kikyou. Also, a minor note, the forums will be or has already been shut down due to lack of, or rather abscense of activity. 1 July 2006 The end is near, or not? I've updated the Recent Events section on Information page, but this time I didn't colour the latest chapter image because I couldn't be bothered, not that anyone cares... And I made a minor change to the Pictures page, you can barely notice it. Anyway, from the look of things, the manga is showng signs of ending soon. I'll be pretty annoyed if Naraku escapes, yet again, and we get another "Tessaiga Upgrading" arc. I would like to see more Sesshoumaru though... 1 June 2006 As usual, I've updated the Recent Events section on the Information page, although most of the recent chapters are currently focusing on Kagome's dilemma with Kikyou. Also, Ear-Tweak is no longer providing Inuyasha scanaltions due personal reasons. I can imagine how she must have felt, when annoying Inuyasha fanbrats pester you about your scanlations which you offer for free out your your free time, it sucks all the fun out of it. But fear not, in the world of scanlating, when one group/person drops a popular series, another will pop up as a replacement. Therefore you can get your weekly Inuyasha manga fix from IRC at #[email protected] or direct download at Stop Tazmo. 1 May 2006 I have updated the 'Recent Events' section on the Information page. In other news, I've been keeping an eye on the Wikipedia article on 'Kikyou', and for some reason, someone has gone and removed all information on the 'fuuin no ya' (Sealing Arrow) from the page and wrote something along the lines of "Kikyou did not have enough strength to kill Inuyasha, so she sealed him to the Time Tree". Now, if I'm not mistaken, Kikyou sealed Inuyasha on purpose, she had no intention of killing him, plus the tree is called "Goshinboku" which roughly translates to "God Tree" or "Sacred Tree". I'm guessing whoever did that removed the entry on the Sealing Arrow so that it wouldn't contradict the false information that they entered. Anyway, I put the entry on the Sealing Arrow back the way it was and made some adjustments to the information about Kikyou sealing Inuyasha. 1 April 2006 This site is finally complete to the point where I don't have to worry about 'coming soon' sections. As you can see, the layout looks new, but it's actually a modification of the old layout. All I did was re-arrange the layout table, scrap the header image and added a background image which I got from a scan from Anime Paper. I finally got around to doing the Information section. I'm not much of a writer, so feedback on mistakes and suggestions for improvement would be much appreciated. I must admit, I'm mainly familiar with the beginning and later episodes of Inuyasha, and most of my knowledge of the middle of the series comes from reading manga and episode summaries. So let me know if I made any errors or left anything out. As for the rest of the site, it's mainly un-changed, I just added a few things here and there. The Haters vs Defenders page is exactly the same as it was before, mainly because I'm too lazy to re-type it. There are two new wallpaper additions to the Pictures section, one is a wallpaper from Anime Paper, and the other was made by myself. In the multimedia department, I've added some sheet music, MIDI, and I uploaded the 'Sotsugyou' MP3 onto free servers for people to download. The Links page has been added to and sites that are down have been removed. I took down the links to the Guestbook because some jerks have been using it to post spam and advertise completely unrelated matter, some people use it as an opportunity to bash, others are trying to voice their views (but the guestbook chops the message short). While some people did the right thing and treated the guest book for what it was, due to the abuses, and the fact that Geocities has a limit on the number of entries, no more access to the Guestbook. For those wanting to voice their opinions, I added a forum, feel free to post but remember to be respectful of others. And a final note, now that this site is relatively complete, I'll be moving onto other tasks so don't expect a flood of updates anytime soon. If I have some spare time, I might work on a new CSS layout for the site and re-type the HvD section. And thanks to the people who voted for this site, last time I checked, it was in the top 50, I really appreciate it. |
