SHHH Alaska Chapter was started by two brave souls who attended the National Conference of SHHH in Seattle, Washington 2002.

Andy Jose, a counselor with the Division of Vocational Rehabilitation and Lynne Sauve`, a counselor with the Deaf and Hard of Hearing Center at the Arc of Anchorage were inspired and thought... Alaska should start its very first chapter

The conference brought Andy and Lynne to a whole new awareness! Yes there are many people out there who could benefit from the kind of support SHHH provides in Alaska. With that, they got to work!
Meetings are typically held at the Arc of Anchorage on the 3rd Wednesday of each month from 6 -7:30
