LYRICS
This time round, the band decided that they
needed a polished high quality single. Previous recordings had either
been rushed or had ended up sounding like really good demos, and the
band needed something of professional album standard to get the desired
attention from the music industry. They spent seven days on just two
songs, and with Ant Price actively producing as well as engineering,
the result was the strongest Razorwire recording so far.
Both of these songs were remastered
and included on the band's debut album "League Of The Godless".
Words from the band:
"Recording was a bit of a
nightmare this time round. Ant (the studio owner) really pushed our
playing to the limit, and tensions were running high, but I believe
it was worth it for what we came out with". - Dan C.

This is a very short disc, 7 min and 37 sec.
of music divided in two songs. The band sounds a little like the harder
Channel zero songs, with a mix of rap in it. Also I hear some influences
of Dearly Beheaded. The first song starts heavy with all instruments
and some grunting and raps. After a couple of times playing this particular
song it even sounded catchy.
The second song is better in my opinion, the grunt and rap are together
and it sounds very OK. Its nothing new, but it sounds all right.
And isnt that what its all about? Probably this band will
fit as nice support act for bands such as One Minute Silence or Kill
II This. Im looking forward to a full CD.

I like this, it reminds me of the non-successful
but fantastic Salem Justice, who the old school tape traders may remember.
In real life terms, it's a bit Alice in Chains, kind of aggressive but
laid back at the same time. The second track, Only Son is fantastic.
Melodic, but hard hitting. My only real complaint is that it's all a
bit drawn out, but then again, I like Maiden, and they never wrote short
tracks! 8/10. Razorwire are from Stoke on Trent, and are definitely
worth keeping an eye on.
