The bands first ever demo was salvaged from a handful of unsuccessful
recording sessions. These versions of the songs were only released because
the band desperately needed a demo at the time, and this was all they
had. Despite the highly questionable quality of the recordings on this
demo tape, it did manage to open quite a few doors for the bands, especially
on the gigging side of things.
The way the band went about the recording of
this demo was highly unprofessional and a large amount of time and money
was wasted, and consequently provided a massive learning experience
for them.
This was also the only demo to feature original
drummer Neil Ablard who was standing in until a permanent drummer could
be found.
Rough demos was sold at gigs for £1 on
tape, and due to some very good live performances, sold well. However
the band knew that the quality was not very good, and re-recorded the
first two tracks later in the year for the Soul Fire CD.
Words from the band:
"I knew the quality of the demo wasn't up
to much, but I loved it all the same as it was the first time I'd ever
appeared on a CDR. It was not only a milestone for the band, but evidence
that we could be a real band and record music that people would enjoy
listening to. Recording your first demo in a real studio is the equivalent
to losing your virginity in a threesome to two supermodels, filming
it, and showing it to all your mates!"- Dan P.

Are you fed up with the soft , meaningless shite that most of todays
so called metal groups are churning out? You are? Then listen to this
and have your faith restored.
Metal with "A groove to it"; funky bass and excellent guitar
riffs coupled with strong vocals and a good drum sound.
