We were bitten by the cavalier 'love bug' about 22 years ago, when we saw our first cavalier. We didn't know anything about the breed at that time...but just knew that was the dog we wanted. Our first cavalier was just a dear pet named 'Copper' and she stole our hearts completely. She was our second child, going everywhere with us and melting both friends and relatives hearts alike. We miss you greatly Copper and will forever be greatful for those wonderful years with you.
Then in 1990 we entered the world of showing/breeding with our first show prospect. We had much to learn and over the years have tried to develop a keen eye for the 'classic' cavalier. It has been a juggling act trying to keep health/type foremost in our minds. Many have come and gone over the years and parting with them has been painful. Especially the love of my life...Sheryane's Black Diamond (Briggs), a beautiful black/tan male...sired by Sanickro Strands of Gold (Ryan), owned by Jean Tremblay, and Brigg's litter sister....Sheryane's Lasting Impression (Laurin), a gorgeous ruby female.
All of our cavaliers live with us in our country home, sharing both our couches and our beds. We test our cavaliers on a yearly basis for both heart and eye certification.
