Levels K-1st.-2nd
The students must read at least 9 of the 15 words in each column The student
must be able to easily recognize the word. It is permissible for younger students to sound out some words but only on the first try. The test measures the student's ability
to recognize words they already know from reading. Start off with the grade they are in. Then if they do not master it go back a grade and continue until they master 9 words in one list. I will add grades 3 through five in Part two. Then Part three will include grades 6-8.

start one grade level below your child's present grade level and work until he misses at least 3 in a level.
If they do not master the problems on one grade level below , move backwards until mastery is completed. This will determine which grade level they are on.
Part Two will include grades 3 through 5 and Part three will include grades 6 through 8
