Chapter 4

"I wasn't harassing him!" Sarris defended.

"Yeah, right, that's what you said last time!!" Cham replied.

"You both need to stop causing trouble.  What did you do this time?"

"Prince Vegita!  We were just-"

"For all that I like being called by my former title, it is his now and this is one of the
problems you cause," Vegita lectured the two girls.

"But sir!  There is no way a real Saiyajin would just-"

"Vegita, girls, have any of you seen my son?" Bulma's voice yelled over the verbal
battle.  She looked at the blank faces and growled.  "TRUNKS!!"
Two doors on either side of the kitchen opened, and a Trunks emerged from each.

"What in the world?" Bulma stared in shock.  "Hey! I only had one son, not two!" She
looked around the room in confusion, checking to see that everyone else saw the two
boys.

Vegita's mouth hung wide open at the site of the two versions of his son.  "There'd
better be a good explanation for this..." he said, directing his growling comment at
Cham, Sarris, and Oceana.

"Um, there is," Mirai Trunks said.  "I accidentally came from another dimension.  I was
trying to learn "instant transmission" within my own dimension, but I messed it up and
wound up here. So, like, yeah..." he finished, with a desperate look to Cham and Sarris.

"He's from the same dimension as us," they supplied.

"Oh, well that explains why he's older, then."

"Well, actually, I came from the future of my dimension into the past, made the past a
parallel world to my future, and somehow managed to end up in this dimension
somewhere in the middle of where I was and where I'm from."

"Oh, now I get it!" Oceana said.  Everyone else stared confusedly.

"Ummm, yeah.  I have one question, though.  Where is Goku?"

"Who?" Vegita asked.

"Oh, well, I guess you guys would know him as Kakarotto?"

"You know the evil prince?" Bulma asked, a scowl on her face.  "That son of a bitch
destroyed my home and enslaved nearly all the Human and Saiyajin races. That bastard
Freiza works for him as well."

"I don't know anything about that... the Goku - er - Kakarotto I know has two sons and
a wife on Earth and has been a friend of yours since he was probably Cham's age."

"He means physical age, not, ya know, "real" age," Cham added.  Trunks looked at her
confused.  "Nevermind."

"Ooookay..." Trunks said, looking around confusedly.

"Don't worry, it gets easier to understand eventually," Sarris comforted, smiling at her.
He smiled back gratefully.

"You mean he's nice?" asked the younger Trunks.

"Um, yeah."

"Oh, well then, I guess you're staying for dinner, then, and so can Prince Kakarotto, he's
kinda cute in a way..." Bulma said, pausing all movements to think about her later
statement.

A low growl emanated from Vegita. "No, he isn't.  And don't insult me like that! Mine...
you are mine."

"No, I if you check your mandatory copy of the constitution, she's mine.  Everything is
mine," a voice claimed.

"Why are you here?" Vegita asked, scowling at the now prince.

"I just decided to visit my favorite underlings tonight.  Besides, I was invited."  He
pointed to Bulma in clarification,.  "When is dinner, anyway?  I'm starved!"

A seemingly normal Goku now stood in the middle of the room.  The only difference
Trunks could see between him and the Goku from his dimension was the fact that he
was wearing Saiyajin battle armor, and that he had a scar running diagonally from one
corner of his face to the opposite corner.

The prince's attention turned to the older Trunks.  "who are you?"

"Um, my name is Trunks..."

"I already own a Trunks."

"There are two of us."

"I know that."

"Wha-"

"So, as I asked already, when is dinner, I'm hungry, and the purple haired kid's starting
to look tasty," Kakarotto commented, pointing to the younger Trunks.

"There will be NO child eating in my house!" Bulma said in a threatening voice.
Kakarotto looked at Bulma.  "It's my-" he started, then thought better of it.  "I will
in one hour."  He grinned.  "Be sure dinner is ready by then."

"Oh yeah.  Trunks, the only reason he hasn't killed everyone in this room is because
Bulma almost always gets her way," Sarris announced.

"That is always, young lady."

"Yes, ma'am."

During the last few comments, Prince Kakarotto had flown off, reminding them that dinner
would be 'chicken, and not fried, either!'  "WHO FRIED THIS CHICKEN BIRD?!" a resounding
yell permeated the air.

Cham, Sarris, and Oceana's eyes opened wide.  "Oh shit!"  All of the girls powered up
and flew off.

"This parallel dimension is odd and chaotic," the older Trunks commented, looking
around in confusion.

Bulma smiled.   "The girls have mentioned that to us before.  But they are dealing with
it.  OOO!! Let's have a barbecue!!"

Little Trunks and Vegita looked at each other fearfully.  "Hide the matches!!" they both
yelped, running for the drawer Bulma was reaching into.

"I don't think I could ever get used to this place," Trunks muttered, eyeing the
chaotic scene before him glaringly.
