Do you wanna know about me? Well then, read on! My name is Sherida. I am 25 years old, and live in Southern California. I will be attending University full time this fall. I would like to teach in a public school someday. I will be studying to receive my BA in Liberal Arts to go on for my Teaching Credentials in Elementary Education. I know my calling in life is to teach. I love children, and I love to help them learn new things about life. A good education is so important! Last summer, I was in charge of setting up Vacation Bible School at my church. It was August 2 through August 6. It was an amazing experience. The LORD totally provided everything we could need, and more. We had 8 children say the "sinner's prayer" for the first time. Then, on Sunday, we had a "Grand Finale" where some of the parents came. We had 4 adults come up for prayer that day, to give their lives to Christ. In total, we had 35 children come to Vacation Bible School, and I had 19 adult and teen helpers. We are already planning VBS for this year. Please keep us in your prayers. We are planning for August 7 - 11 for this year. I'm going to have a pretty busy summer this year. I will be attending summer school for five weeks, then it's off to summer camp. I will be working at summer camp for the next two weeks. The week after I come home from camp is VBS. Then I have one week to prepare and pack, and I'm off to college. It will be hectic, but also quite fun! |

I enjoy listening to Contemporary Christian Music. I also like watching old movies. Some of my hobbies include collecting Rogers and Hammerstein musicals, reading, sewing, making crafts and other creations with my mom, enjoying the great outdoors, and working 1000 piece (or more) puzzles (someday I'll get around to that 2500 piece puzzle). I also spend a lot of time with my family. I have six younger brothers and sisters, ages 5 - 14. I like to read Historical Fiction (mostly written by Bodie Thoene), Christian romance novels, westerns by Louis Lamour, Perry Mason mysteries, and other stuff. Right now I am reading the Anne of Green Gables series. I am on the fifth of eight books, but I'm not sure if I will finish it, since I just got The Visitation, by Frank Peretti, back from my mom. I was reading the Chronicles of Narnia as well, and still have two to finish of the seven in that series. I will soon be adding these books to my Books page. My newest hobby is genealogy. I have found a lot of information, but the search is ongoing. I am amazed at how much information some people have found about their families! I have my genealogy posted on the web here(for the surname list), or here (for the generation list). Who knows, we may be related!
