POLO is the oldest game in the world. It was also played before B.c It was played in Arab and Iran One during their stay in gilgit the british learned to play polo, Polo is very popular in Gilgit. During a tournament which are held regularly ,all works stops and entire town turns out to watch.When a big tournament is on,gilgit assumes  carnival atmosphere and horses and men decked out in colorful regalia parade up and down in main streets.
