| It is important to decide what software products you will need to meet your technology goals. This step will require substantial input from curriculum specialists and software companies. You should also review results from the assessment survey to review any software recommendations or needs. In addition, you should review survey results regarding network software, backup software, library systems and administrative systems. |
| The second element that the technology corrdinator must take into consideration is network needs and design. In order for the technology plan to be effective, decisions must be made on the infrastructure, the key component of which is networking. Networking is connecting individually controlled computers to one another using hardware and software to bridge them. |
