A cutting Dilemma
This story is a fictional story I have written about my struggle as a teen, living a life of drugs, abuse, and situations encountered in this world. Remeber, this is Fiction
There was a light breeze the day everything changed for me. I, twylette is my name, was sitting outside my house on the porch swing, relaxing before my first day of my senior year. I couldn't wait to be a senior. I had no worries about it. I had my friends, a new car ( a convertable my dad baught me, it's very bad on gas), and high marks. I was SO ready to go. "Hey!! Twylette.. you coming?" Yelled my best friend from across the street. I slipped out of my little day dream, grabbed my purse and ran to her car "Sorry, I was daydreaming about being the seniors of the school" (we traded on and off on who was driving so we could save gas). "Oh, me too, just think, we're gonna own the school!" Rachelle had a quiet but somewhat attractive way about her. She was always in style, but she never complimented herself on her beauty, very modest. Which made her even more beautiful to people who knew her. I guess I was always considered a snob, just because I came from a wealthy family. The two of us had always been best friends, since we were in kindergarden together. "This is going to be an awesome party tonight, hey Rachelle?" "I think so, Cory is coming, what about you.. is Matt coming?" Mathew was my boyfriend of almost 2 years, he was a great guy, the same age as me, and usually pretty well behaved except when he was drinking. "Yeah, he's coming" I replied with a big grin on my face. "Why the big smile?" Rachelle asked me in curiosity. I just grinned bigger. "You didn't?! please tell me you didn't". She knew I had been with Matt the night before, "Yes, I did" I said hesitantly. "Oh Rachelle, you don't know what you're missing!". Rachelle gave me this look like I had made a pact with the Devil himself. "Twylette, You know that just breaks up relationships, I just don't want to see you get hurt, that's all. You know how he reacts to someone saying no when he drinks, what if he expects it when he's drunk?". We arrived at the school parking lot, it was almost noon. We had an assembly starting at twelve, then a quick run through of our classes. "Oh Rachelle, you have no idea what he's like. He may get a temper, but he's never gone crazy with it, and he always apologizes for the littlest things, just the alcohol gets to him sometimes". Rachelle was always so protective of me, she knows alot about life from the way she was brought up with a previous family. The school was rushing with people, and everyone so excited about the new year ahead of them. I met up with Matt, and sat with him for the assembly, then parted our ways to go to our classes. The school day went by in three hours. I went home, ate, then started to plan for the party that evening. I showered, put on a black mini skirt and my tight white tank top. I left my hair down, just because I liked to show off how long it was, down to the middle of my back. it was blonde and kind of curly at the ends. it was hard to take care of, but in the whole, it was worth it. Rachelle went out after school and bought all the booze and cigarettes for the four of us, for our long evening ahead. I was a little worried about the evening, just knowing that Matt was going to be drinking. Even slightly scared, but I could do nothing about it. We arrived at the party, pulled the booze out of the trunk and headed inside to meet Matt and Cory. Oh yeah, Cory was Rachelle's boyfriend. He was the type of guy that knew all her faults, and didn't care. He just loved her the best he could, he was awesome for her. Anyway, we walked into the cabin and everyone was there. We passed through the crowd and said hi to our friends while just pushing through all the others. I had never tried to be snobby and I guess you could say, conceited, it's just the way I was raised. I never really believed at that point in that rule of thumb that whatever you give, you'll get back times three.
