The Contemporary Art Society promoted the packs to other galleries in the tour. Rediscovering Wolmark: a pioneer of British modernism (September � November 2004) � Developed a teacher�s pack with background to the artist and links to art and RS and planned two workshops for primary schools based around themes in Wolmark�s work. � Two half term workshops held on the theme of portraits. Work with an individual picture: Racehorses (David Bomberg) � a new acquisition (November 2004) � Produced a teachers pack giving background information about the artist, the work, relevant artistic movements and ideas on using the picture in the classroom. General education programme administration: � Working with freelancers to develop and plan the full programme of workshops and school sessions. � Creating and maintaining a database of local schools and education contacts � Liasing with LEA representatives � Contacting schools, families and the local press to promote the gallery and exhibitions � Writing evaluations and reports � Writing content for the education section of the website. |
