| Background Shelly has experience of formal teaching in both the classroom and museums. Additionally she has worked with children in more informal settings including in a museum / gallery context. Shelly is a member of GEM � The Group for Education in Museums. Shelly also has a strong administrative background including museum based experience, several different roles on committees at the University of York and time as a general assistant for Bingley Council for Voluntary Services. Why Museum Education? �I enjoy working in museum education because I find the opportunities that museums and galleries provide for learning outside the classroom exciting as I believe in an interactive and child centred approach to learning. I am enthusiastic about my subject and enjoy the challenges provided by ever changing groups and exhibitions.
