Shell has taken a lot of gamble on Chris Jackson. First, the Zoom Masters willingly let Victor Pablo go and signed the Fil-American defensive man to a multi-million, multi-year contract.
Sure, Jackson was an integral part of a long, victorious Shell run that bridged the 1998 and 1999 seasons, but letting Pablo go raised a lot of eyebrows and gave everyone the right to expect Jackson to deliver the way he has never done before.
Continues to be the best defensive man in this team, Jackson is a motivator on the court and gets the job done in ways he can. Shut down the opposing team's best scorer and wound up as the team's top rebounder with 10 a night.
He also had a team-high 189 offensive rebounds last year and the bulk of his 5.6-point average came on second chance points.
