YAMAHA BRINGS F4 BACK IN THE PHILS ON MAY 2004 There's still chance for F4 fans who didn't get to watch the group last December 26 at ULTRA because Yamaha will bring the Taiwanese quartet back in the Philippines. The tentative date of the said concert will be on the last week of May 2004. Yamaha hadn't picked the production arm for this event and there's no particular venue yet. The promotions of the said concert will start by February. The four Meteor Garden stars are the celebrity endorsers of Yamaha motorbikes. 'Switch' is their huge ad campaign that we've seen and watched on commercials. Yamaha will launch their new products the same time when F4 will arrive here. Right now, Yamaha is promoting 'solo-models' or motorbikes that are like scooters, because they were highly concentrating on tricycles before. In connection with 'Switch' campaign, there will be a new look on all Norkis Yamaha stores and outlets. They will also place huge F4 billboards of Yamaha plus they will be placing F4 promo material on their service vehicles and roving buses. It could be remembered that a lot were dismayed on F4's last concert because it doesn't just lack promo and publicity, the venue was also small. Vanness to host MTV Asia Awards '04 Black Eyed Peas & more BE DAZZLED by stars this Valentine's Day. American hip-hop group Black Eyed Peas and Britan's Pop Idol sensation Gareth Gates are just some of the stars you can catch at this year's MTV's Asia Awards. Into its third year, the musical extravaganza has seen many big-name stars gracing Singapore's shores in the past two years. They included pop singer Robbie Williams, rocker Pink and rapper Missy Elliott. "International artists have always been excited to come to Asia because they don't often get the chance to,?says Mr Mishal Varma, vice-president for programming, talent and artists relations at MTV Networks Asia. Blacked Eyed Peas, which is popular for its hit Where Is The Love, is nominated in the Favourite Pop ACT category. Two of its competitors in the same category, rock group Simple Plan and boyband Blue, will also be here. Nominated in the Favourite Male Artist category, Gates will make his maiden appearance in Singapore. ***The event will be hosted by Taiwanese boyband F4's Vanness Wu and American singer-songwriter Michelle Branch.*** She is also nominated in the Favourite Female Artist category. Acts confirmed presenting or performing include British band Liberty X and 16-year-old American singer Stacie Orrico. Watch this space for other celebrities attending the event in the coming weeks. The MTV Asia Awards will be held at the Singapore Indoor Stadium on Feb 14 at 7pm. There will be a delayed telecast of the show on MTV S.E.Asia (StarHub Ch20 ) at 10pm that night. Zaizai, become famous, butt being touched Zaizai is being missed by many of his fans due to not seeing him for so long. But yesterday, he had an autograph session in xi men ting to meet his fans. There are many fans who turn up for the autograph session though people say that their population has dropped. When Da S appeared in purple, fans became more high. And they said that its Meteor Garden 3 going to air soon. After 2 years, Zai release his 2nd album, Remember I Love You. Yesterday's autograph session, Zai's showed out his popularity. He walked on the red carpet to go up the stage. Fans who have not seen him for long, tried to touch him. Zai finally went up the stage and he said 'my butt is also being touch.' And those media who came to interview zai, were too many that the whole stage is full. Going all the way down to xi men ting to support zaizai, besides taiwan fans, there are still fans from all the other countries like korean fans having zaizai tour. the tour is the best de. In his tour, those who are involved in planning are his companies, Sony Music, Fu Long and importantly, xi men ting. The only 'high' part is where Da S appeared. Zaizai was shocked when she appeared and his eyes were widely open and he said, ' During sha1 qing1 is Jerry's appearance. This time, I thought will be Ken or Vanness. How come is you?' As Da S is wearing a purple top, she said that she wishes zai to be da4 hong2 da4 zi3. She even cheered zai on when she's on stage and let zai to say that their friendship is worth it. Rumors about Magical Kitchen? Jerry talks about Sammi generously
After working abroad for more than half a year, Jerry, whose birthday falls on New Year's Day went back Taiwan to celebrate New Year as well as his birthday. He saw that his mother was healthy and was very happy and gave his mother a big red packet. Jerry made a new year wish which is to buy a house for his mum and sis and himself to live in. Recently, Jerry is actively looking for an apartment and the first condition is that it must be very ying3 mi4 (private). For the first time yesterday, Jerry talked about the rumors on him and Sammi due to Magical Kitchen and he said, "Movie mah, rumors are a part of it, Sammi is a nice person, she actually calls me xiao didi and I call her xiao hai zi. I learnt a lot from Sammi and Andy and respect them a lot" Jerry had a tele-coversation with the reporters yesterday afternoon and his tone and mood was much better than half a year ago. He said that filming abroad is great, the crew are very professional and they are less gossips going around. This time round, Sammi and Andy took great care of him. Previously, Jerry heard that Sammi and Andy are very da pai, making him worried but now that they know each other well, he found them very nice. Jerry said," When Sammi and Andy reach the set, they have about 7-8 people following them and this really scares me and I dare not talk to both of them. After we have worked together for some time, they taught me a lot of things and Andy gave me his concert DVD and there are even encouraging words written on it. It tells me to persevere on no matter what rumors I met. I have not known him before and yet he was willing to share his experience with me, making me really touched. He is like a brother to me and till now, I still keep those encouraging notes. I really learn alot from these real da pais. Before working with Sammi, Jerry also heard that she was a da pai and was rather worried. After they worked together, he found Sammi easy-going, loves to joke and both of them also play and fight around. Jerry says, "Humans are like that, before I work with her, I will believe the rumors I heard about Sammi and now that I am so lucky to work with her, she is totally different from what the rumors make up about her. I now think that I am very stupid to believe those rumors." Jerry sincerely expressed that he really admires Sammi and Andy and hope they can have chances to work together in the future, even if its 'ke chuan' he is also willing. After Magicial Kitchen, Jerry currently has 4 movies in the midst of discussion. He really enjoy the feeling of working abroad and have been to Hk, the Philippines, Chuna, Japan etc. Many times he was awoken, he found himself on the plane. Although it is tough but he can shun some rumors, he said, " At one time when I was in Taiwan, I was used to hiding at a small corner, scared to see the newspapers, magazines and now I film abroad, I need not hide in a corner anymore." With regards to his new album, he said, " Recordings are half done, Zaizai has already released 2 albums and this year I should be able to release my first album."
