Where Are The Miracles Now?
There are an awful lot of good people on this planet, but there are some real stinkers, too. Sometimes, it feels as if evil is winning the fight. I am not looking to upset anyone here, or to get into a religious debate, but I can’t help feeling, that because of the amount of evil in the world, God has turned His back on us. And I don’t blame Him. Please forgive me my opinion if you are someone who has no doubts whatsoever about Gods love for us, or His faith in us. I still read the Bible, and I still pray, but I’m just not sure that anyone is listening anymore. The answer to every one of my prayers, has always been, no; so maybe God has a personal vendetta against me. But when I see and hear about some of the cruelty and suffering that goes on, I think, that at least for the time being, He has a vendetta against us all! There was a time when God made his presence know to us. He spoke from a burning bush, and His voice could be heard from the heavens. Why doesn’t he do that anymore? God, help us, please. We are only what You made us, and we are not strong enough to win the fight against evil without You. There was a time when You granted public miracles. Couldn’t You please help us, by sending us a miracle now?

Where are the miracles
now?
Have we ever needed them more?
God used to watch over the planet,
But He doesn’t care like before.
If He did, there would
be no starvation.
Small loaves, and a few little fishes,
No longer solve world hunger,
By filling hungry men’s dishes.
I’m sure He could
help stop oppression.
Stop dictators from starting more wars.
Stop murder and rape from happening,
Make people obey mankind’s laws.
Why doesn’t He
stop all the suffering?
Why should the innocent pay,
For the evil caused by a minority?
When He could stop all the pain right away.
If He loves us exactly
the same,
Why is it that some have it all?
While others have next to nothing,
Despite praying and answering His call.
Why are people still
dying of thirst?
When He has the power to send rain.
Why is it, that the harder we try,
We find we are battling in vain!
Has God turned his
back on the world?
Has all hope gone for mankind?
Has He handed us over to Satan?
If we look, that’s what we’ll find!
The world is falling
to pieces.
We have to save it somehow!
But we don’t stand a chance of salvation,
Unless He gives us a miracle now!
