If
I Could Be A Fly On The Wall.

I think that there is a
voyeur living in all of us. If I could be a fly on the
wall, these are some of the adventures I would have. If
yours would be different, e-mail me and let me know what
you would do. Ill turn it into a poem for you.
If I Could Be
A Fly On The Wall.
By Amanda Jay Clark.
If I could be
a fly on the wall,
What kind of things would I see?
Anything that I want to, I guess,
And no one would know that its me.
I could spy on all my neighbours and friends,
Learn the secrets theyve been trying to hide.
I could know them better than they know themselves,
As I work my way inside.
I would watch
the man of my dreams take a shower.
See him lather the soap on his skin.
Bring a smile to my face like never before.
Thats if its possible for a fly to grin.
Id be ecstatic watching him rinse clean,
Then prepare to wash his hair.
Then again, not all things are possible.
He cant shampoo whats no longer there!
Out would come
the big fluffy towel,
And my wings would flap with delight,
While he stood there naked, all clean and dry.
My God, what a magnificent sight!
Id feel a bit sad watching him get dressed,
His beautiful body, covered for the day.
His chest hidden behind a soft silk shirt,
And his wedding tackle all tucked away.
Id be a
very wet fly, no kidding,
After watching him primp and preen.
And it would have nothing to do with the water,
Well, Im sure you know what I mean!
How much energy dyou think a fly has?
After that, I should find some nice nest,
And close my weary eyes to sleep,
Or whatever a fly does to rest.
When I wake
up, I guess Ill be hungry.
At that time, Ill have to admit,
That I dont much fancy being a fly,
Dinning on garbage, and shit.
After an hour of being myself again,
Ill turn back into the old winged beast,
And laugh as I soar over the other flies,
While they eat their disgusting feast.
Then,
Ill zoom off for another adventure.
Ive always been curious to take a peep,
Inside the house of commons,
But theyd cause me to fall asleep!
What a bunch of boring idiots.
The blues, the yellows, and the reds.
Id like to be full of droppings,
So I can pelt them down on all their heads!
I could listen
to couples argue.
Watch them scream and fight.
Then, learn some very useful tips,
As they make up most of the night.
I could sleep between them on their pillow.
Just think how sweet my dreams would be.
I could pretend that what had just happened to her,
Had really just happened to me.
I could hang
around all the criminals,
And become an informer for the police.
Ill be safe while the crooks are in prison,
But on the day of their release,
Ill desperately need a place to hide,
Cos my life will be on the line.
A grassed-up villain is madder than hell,
And would kill me like a rabid canine.
I could fly
into any cinema,
Without paying the entry fee.
I could dive head first into your popcorn,
And dine all night for free.
I could take sips of your soda,
While you gaze at the movie screen.
And cadge a lift home on your shoulder,
Without ever being seen.
When I know
everything about everyone,
When Ive seem all there is to see.
I can blackmail them over their secrets,
And laugh as they try to swat me.
Ill have to be fast at ducking and diving,
To keep danger well at bay,
As they aim a nozzle at me,
And squirt that deadly knock-down spray.
I could annoy
all those who annoy me,
By buzzing round their ears, mouth, and nose.
And as soon as you take off your socks and shoes,
Lay my eggs between their toes.
Ill enjoy your screams of horror and disgust,
As my maggots wriggle over your feet.
I will be proud of being a good mother,
Cos I know maggots love rotten meat!
I could party
with six-million of my closest friends,
Fly around enjoying the mood.
You humans provide the banquet of course,
As we puke over, then eat your food.
So long as I can avoid the spiders web,
Life will be one none-stop ball.
So Lord, please, every once in a while,
Let me be a fly on the wall!
