The Aliens Are Coming

Have you ever had an alien encounter? Me neither. If they exist, I can’t possible imagine why they would want to visit our planet. We seem to hate each other for no good reason at all. If we can’t get on as a species, how are we supposed to welcome one from another world? Even if they came in peace, we would be at war within seconds of their arrival. So, let’s hope that they never come. e-mail me with your thoughts on whether the arrival of aliens would be good, or bad for us. I would especially like to hear from you, if you have had an alien encounter. Had the ET you encountered come in peace, or are we in trouble?

The Aliens Are Coming.
By Amanda Jay Clark.

The aliens are coming,
So many people say.
Others argue loudly that,
They’re already here today.

I hope they never find us,
Because I’m positive that,
We’ll be at war with the visitors,
In ten seconds flat.

We can’t get on as a species,
So how can we welcome another?
We use any excuse to hate,
Setting brother against brother.

You’re too fat, too thin,
Too rich, too poor.
We hate you because you’re alive,
What are you on this planet for?

We hate you because of your religion,
and the colour of your skin.
We hate you because you’re a cripple,
The sight of you is a sin.

We hate you because you’re old,
And spoil all our fun.
We hate you because you’re young,
And your lives have barely begun.

We hate your nationality.
You’re not as good as us.
We would shoot you if we could,
Between the eyes, no fuss.

If the aliens come, they’re crazy.
And we all know the reason why.
Until we unite as a species,
They should fly their space-ships by.
