The nightmare, the "bad dream," is the
distant scream of the deepest, most hidden recesses of the human psyche.
It expresses not only our worst fears, but the primordial fears of
humanity. And, as we all found out the hard way, those fears go well
beyond what we know to be real. Our moment of terror may involve a serial
killer or a plague of spiders, but it is just as likely to feature a
monster under the bed or ethereal spirits rising from the grave.
Nightmares hit us like a sledgehammer and
quickly diminish, but never go away completely. They linger forever,
reverberating in our minds, echoing our vulnerabilities, humbling us with
the realization that we are not completely in charge, that there are
things in this life that we can neither conquer nor control. The nightmare
tells us that our happy, serene lives can be ripped away at any moment. It
taunts us with the suggestion that the world is not after all an
inherently benign place, that evil just might triumph in the end.

It was mid October I don't know the date but i saw myself in the dessert.
it wasn't hot like I expected in fact it was rather cold. I was running
away
from someone to somewhere but I was lost. The person who was after already
took my camel and my water so I was really dehydrated. When I thought I
was
going to die I found myself in an Oasis. It was beautiful. But more
importantly,
there was water and dessert fruits to keep me alive for a few days. At
first I thought it was just another mirage since I already dreamed up
3 Oasis in the past. But the water in this one was sweet and refreshing.
Not hot and dry. I don't know the reason why it was so cold in this
dessert but I started to shiver. I spent the night in paradise hoping I
lost
this creature following me. And like a thief a night it was all swept away
as if someone stole my life away. I woke up in the palace dungeon where a
man
was torturing me in ways inhumane. He had a knife and he stab me to make
me bleed
but never in such a way to kill me. I don't know the reason how I got to
this
ill-forsaken place and I did not if they ever going to let me go but I
started a prayer.
I prayed for god to save me and take me away to his kingdom. I prayed that
he gave me
strength to continue these acts of torture to me. I even prayed for those
who tortured me
so they may rest in peace in death. But out of the shadows Satan himself
appeared. He claimed
that there was no mercy for the wicked. He said he brought me to Hell and
this is hell.
This is the eternity of wicked deadly sins and place of mortal torture.
After hearing this,
I cried. I cried so hard that blood ran down my eyes. I knew it was a
dream. But
it felt so real and waking up that chill-ill of the air was there. As if
the Devil enjoyed
giving me this nightmare.
