Home made turbo jet engine
DISCLAIMER: This is a very dangerous project. Making a turbine deals with handling compressed highly flammable gases and liquids, and having them plumbed into a source of ignition. Aside from the fire hazard, the turbine itself has no RPM control whatsoever and can very easily over speed and explode into lethal shrapnel. Projects such as these should only be attempted by trained professionals

WHY I MADE JET ENGINE
I have always been fascinated by all things mechanical, and all things powerful. Gas turbine engines (jet engines) fall into both categories. During my endless hours surfing the net I've come across many pages about home built turbine engines, and have considered building one myself. you too can build your own turbojet engine! I did it, and if I can almost anyone can. The engine presented here is based on a used automotive turbo charger, lots of off the shelf parts, and only a few custom made components. Anyone with a little knowledge of engines, access to a reasonably well stocked workshop, some free time, and some excess cash should be able to make an engine like mine, or an even better one.
