            A Fan's Guide to Def Leppard in Sheffield

Every Def Leppard fan knows that Sheffield is the home of thier favorite band, and as well they probably know most of the important places connected with the history of the band here; Westfield School, Tapton School, The Wapentake, The Crookes Workingmen's Club, Wisewood Cemetery, and the infamous A-57 where Rick Allen lost his arm. But, how does the average fan find all this stuff? This was the problem Leppardized encountered when she was in Sheffield in August 2003. She had a list of places to see, but how the heck was she to find them? It was while she was visiting Steve Clarks' grave that the idea came to her, why not compile a list of all the Def Leppard sites in Sheffield, take a picture of the site, and then explain how to get there from Downtown Sheffield.

There, in nutshell, is the premise for this book. The sites concentrate on the early history of the band, as that's when they were in Sheffield. Tony Kenning, Pete Willis, Sav, Steve Clark, Rick Allen, and Joe Elliott. As well there are some newer sites too, The Players Club, Hallam FM Arena, Don Valley Stadium. Anything that Leppardized and her former husband Tom Ryerson could find that tied in with Def Leppard in Sheffield.

The book is a quality effort. The front and back cover are lamenated, and it is printed on high grade durable paper. The book consists of 44 pages, and features 39 color pictures. The book is comb bound so the spine won't break if you fold the pages over. There are complete directions by foot, tram, bus and rail. She has included a large map of the area, plus detail maps of where the sites are located. There are also maps of where to catch buses, taxi's and the train.
