•Tom, Danny, James and James' brother go on holiday to Florida and write lots of songs together (2003)

•They place an advert in NME magazine and Harry and Dougie turn up for the auditions

•They name themselves McFly after Marty and George McFly in the Back To The Future Films (one of Tom's favourite films)

•McFly support friends Busted on their Arena Tour

•McFly release debut single "Five Colours In Her Hair" that shoots straight to number one, as does their next single "Obviously"

•McFly break, idols, The Beatle's world record for being the youngest band to have their debut album get to number (thanks to dougie) (05/07/2004)

•McFly play a theatre tour

•McFly win the "Best Pop Act" award at The Brits (08/02/2005)

•McFly release their first single of their second album for charity, which enters the charts at number one (07/03/2005)

•McFly film their parts for the film "Just My Luck"

•McFly release their second album "Wonderland", and get to number one in the album chart (29/08/2005)
