Have you ever finish taking a shower and suddenly you have a considerably large injury on yourself. I find mysterious brusies and cuts on me all the time - today was a large gash on my arm. But then I again I tend to get injured a lot. I stabbed myself with an explorer by accident, gave myself a papercut and got steam burn - all on the same hand on the same day. I don't know if I'm just a klutz or I'm unconciously inflicting pain on myself.

I recently picked up Osamu Tezuka's Buddha - you know, 'cause of it's awesome cover. I originally thought it was gonna be like a pretty normal manga, but it turned out to be more novel-like. Kinda if you were reading Hesse's Siddhartha but it has pictures - lots of them. The thing that sucks is that each book costs like $15 ... and there's like 8 volumes. And of course I pretty know what happens in the end. But I really love this classic style, I'll think about picking up more.

Anyways... I've been keeping up with the new season of America's Best Dance Crew and been wondering how it's kinda unfair for some of the younger dance crews seeing that some crews are pretty much pros. Like Super Crew from season 2, weren't they like all professional B-Boys. How could So Real Cru (runner-up)even match up to that? Same with this season's crews. The girls from Beat Freaks are all pretty much pro dancers, like Rino is one of Gwen Stefani's Harajuku Girls and some of the others are back-up dancers work for Janet Jackson... Whatever, maybe one of the smaller teams will win.

Listening: Nothing again?!
I've been meaning to write a post all day (I tried doing this like 3 times), but I kept being distracted. So finally, here I am... But now I totally forgot what I wanted to rant about...
Anyways, I've been catching up with my anime. If you ask my bro, he'll definitely say that I'm the type to start but never finish. I get tired of long stories real fast, especially when it's anime. I hate waiting every week for only like 1/100,000 of the story to be revealed. I tend to stick to anime that are more episode-focused (?) - Kinda like American cartoons, where it's a different story every episode. So this week, I really sat down and watched some anime that's been collecting dust on my hard drive, Toradora!, Soul Eater, Nogizaka Haruka no Himitsu, and Kuro Shitsuji.
Soul Eater - I actually stopped watching it at the climax of the first arc (~episode 25), I have no idea why I stopped there. The first arc's peak has been pretty good, but it's starting to slow down again for me. I hope it doesn't turn into another Naruto/Bleach/One Piece/etc - damn these Jump epics.
ToraDora! - Kyaa!, this anime is so cute, I can't wait to watch more. Definitely one of my favorites last season. I wonder if Ryuuji and Taiga get together...?
Nogizaka Haruka no Himitsu - This anime was pretty cute the first few episodes and feels like it's getting worst and worst. And it's reaching it's climax too. That's why I hate these "dating sim" anime. They're all so cliche.
Kuro Shitsuji - The story is ... okay, but I really like the artwork. Kinda reminds me of Tactics... but it's probably more so the character setting that I find similar. GASP! I just checked the voice actor list and Maaya Sakamoto plays Ciel Phantomhive?!@?! I'm very impressed. Okay this is Ciel (0:14-0:20 is Ciel) and this is Maaya in her singing voice. Surprised??? If not, go suck on a rock. Wait, I just checked her anime roles - she's Soul Eater's Chrona too! She's awesome. Haha...
I need to move out soon cause my room is getting much too small for my manga collection. My bookshelf looks like it's gonna collapse on me any moment now.

Yes, this is me

I've been meaning to update my review site for a LONG time now, maybe I'll be able to do soon!

I consider myself a veteran manga reader, especially shojo manga. I've been reading manga since like... junior high? That's a long time! Anyways, I read Kitchen Princess, and it's a pretty typical shojo manga. This boy saves the main character when she was younger, so she vows to find him again when she's older. And now she's in high school and meets this guy that she really likes and could be the prince and then all of a sudden in volume 5 (you guys won't ever read it so I'm spoiling it) the main love interest dies!!! I was soo shocked! He was a main character too! And the series was soo G Rated too. Come on, the main character was bawling her eyes out and traumatized from losing her first ... kiss... GAH, it's a Full Moon wo Sagashite all over again. And I was not happy with that one... Basically I'm shocked that I was so surprised by the sudden twist.

Things I Hate Part 1
1. When people wash and reuse disposable plastic utensils. Not only do I find it digusting, but it also defeats the original purpose of plastic utensils.
2. When you eat ate a restaurant and the workers begin to clean up the restaurant. ARGH! Especially when they spray that strong ammonia-smelling cleaner right at the next table!! Thats totally irks me! I know it saves time and keeps the place clean but I find it very very rude. And vacuuming too! How annoying is that. I feel like I'm being rushed out of the restaurant.
When I started this list, I thought it be longer, but I can't think of any anymore. Oh! I also hate when you're working in a group, and they don't do work. But I guess that goes for anybody.

Listening: My computer's fans going off
I just finish D-ASH by KITAZAWA Miya and I wanted to rant out it before I forget lose the urge to talk about it. This manga is basically about a boy's dramatic life of becoming an Olympic sprinter. The story follows pretty much his whole life including his first love, his friends, his lovers, his ups and downs of running. But what I really wanted to say about this manga is that this is like ... a guy's ideal romance story. If guys had chick flicks, this would be it. I want to be clear that I'm not trying to diss the story. D-ASH gave me an insight to what (Japanese?) guys think what the perfect (love) story would be. But D-ASH isn't a love story, but it's story is propelled by romantic relationships. Kinda like the Jin Yong novels. But the story was really great. I really really recommend it. And it's only 5 volumes! (I'm so sick of reading 42 volume mangas....)
So I started a review site on Blogger. Seeing that 70% of the posts on this page are reviews I thought I do something more "useful" with them. But I'd like to keep commenting on this page too. So on with the reviews!
I watched "Quarantine" last week. Let me say first that I've never seen Blair Witch Project or Cloverfield and also I get motion sickness. OMG I got so sick watching this! I literally had to walk out of the theatre or I was gonna hurl. It was worst than being in the nosebleed rows (That's what Chairman calls the front rows) I was so sick I had a hard time focusing on the movie. I was trying not to look at the screen cause the shaking made me sick, I bet everybody else thought I was scared. Haha... Even though, I complain about it. The shaky camera was what made the movie special. I think it was appropriate and the movie wouldn't be the same without it. The actual story was, okay... It was good as it was reaching the climax and but then it kinda went blew up in flames and crashed into a mud pit. I think it was really the characters' ... I dunno ... mindset? ... that really contributed to the movie's poor performance. Characters just seem to be set up for situations when it just shouldn't happen. Really would someone really walk unguarded towards a person that just bit off someone else's neck? ... Maybe... But overall the movie was mediocre.
Okay, last one before I go to bed. Professor Layton for DS. This game is sooo fun! Basically, you're a professor going around solving mysteries in a puzzle loving town. Puzzles as in logic/IQ questions. Really awesome, if you're into these kind of games. The level of the puzzles range from "This game is a joke! Cake!" to "WTF?! HOW THE EFF DO YOU DO THIS!" After you solve the puzzles, they're saved in you "Puzzle Index" so you can play them whenever you want. Meaning you show 'em to your friends and family and compare your times. Haha... The story was equally good. Until it came to the end, and then I realized this was a PG game. It was all good until that last 10 minutes. Bleh for me, but just peachy for the average 10 year old. Anyways, the game ends with hints of a sequel and according to subsequent 2 Japanese releases, the sequel is realized. Let's just hope it makes it overseas.

Listening: I Have But One Heart by Al Martino
I finally beat FF Tactics: A2!! I didn't realize how PLAIN Luso was until he finally transformed back. Bleh~ Marche was way cuter
Overall, the game was ... okay. It wasn't that much better than Tactics GBA. And the ending was a total bore. I hated the cliche ending too. What's this "stay true to your heart" BS? What is this, like Sailormoon or something? I wonder what the target age for this game is? Also, when Luso comes back to the "real world." He tells his teacher, Mr. Randell, about it and assures him that he's not making it up. And his teacher replies, "I know, I've been there too." ... WTF?

The thing is, Luso totally lets that slide! The bell rings and Luso like, "Oh crap, I'm late." And that's it! What the hell? Now I gotta look back in Tactics GBA to see if Randell's a character from there. And after that scene, it totally goes into 5 minutes of shitty cut scenes. Totally unnecessary.
Oh, I'm trying out some new html to save space. Noticed?

My bro got a free copy of "Shoulder-a-Coffin Kuro" from the Yen Press booth at NYAF and "gave" it to me. So I decided to take a gander at it, and it was surprisingly cute! The story is about Kuro who is traveling to find a witch (I would say why, but maybe it'd be a spoiler). The story focuses on her travels and the people she meets along the way. The story is similar to "Kino's Journey" but less cynical.

For the extra .99 on the cover price, you get color pages! Very awesome.
Yen Press is licensing a lot of great titles, but I hope when they grow a bit bigger they can lower their prices a bit more.
So I was checking my old sites and layouts, and I have to say, I was pretty decent for an amateur. Remember Recollection? It was some anime/manga review site I started with Camilo and Kin. It was so awesome. I did that just with Yahoo's Easy Designer. So, being so inspired from my old works, I tried to start some vector wall-ing again. ... That sooo did not work out. Haha.

Listening: SOMEONE'S FUCKING CAR ALARM GOING OFF EVERY 10 MINUTES FOR THE PAST HOUR!
Just finished reading Fujiwara Kiyo's Gold Rush 21 and it was so good. As expected from Fujiwara. She also wrote the oh-so-popular Wild Ones (Arakure) which is licensed by VIZ Media. Anyways Gold Rush 21 is a short that revolves around this host club and these 3 people associated with it. It's very sweet, please read it. It seriously made me cry when I was reading it. Very very cute.
But in shoujo mangas there are always certain scenes that make me LOVE the manga. Even if the manga is mediocre, if they have these scenes I will definitely love it. Such as characters that act tough but are really sweethearts on the inside.

Evil sister with a big heart
MOE~~
I also like scenes where the guy/girl doesn't realize he's in love or is in the process of falling love!
The prince is so cute!
It's also adorable when boys blush! The small hidden blush or the full faced blush! So cute~
What a cutie~!
I'm such a freak... But anyways, I don't like it when it's too mushy, then I get digusted. But it's okay when the main characters' love is ... pure? Oh god, I'm making myself sick...
So moving on, I finished Final Fantasy Fables: Chocobo Dungeon for DS.
I started a few months ( or like a year...?) back but I sort of grew out of it. But I didn't realize I stopped so close to the end. I was literally one battle away. I give props to the team for ATTEMPTING to increase the replay value, like with mini-games and the pop-up duel system but there was something lacking... maybe they were too easy or something. Overall, it was cute and fun for a short time.
I'm also watching Mononoke right now. It's got that Gankutsuou art and Ergo Proxy (don't ask me why Ergo) feel to it. But I LOVE Takahiro Sakurai's voice! (He plays the main character) It's so hot! I think I've mentioned it before... [Scrolls down]

So... I finally caught up with Ouran High School Host Club and OMG IT'S SO GOOD. Haha. The story is finally reaching it's climax! Every chapter right now just kinda leaves you with all these crazy emotions. When I read chapter 55 and saw this (below) I just flipped out.

Oh man. My little Haruhi is all grown up (<-- Otoo-san no kimochi?) I can't believe the next chapter is gonna be in October?! OMG I can't wait that long.
So while I'm trying to suppress my Ouran craze, I picked the first issue of Yen+~ Basically a manga compilation targeted for older teens. It's pretty good. So I made a tuna omelette for the first time today. When I tasted it, I thought, "OMG, this is so GOOD! Why haven't I thought about mixing tuna in omelettes before?!" It was so good that I HAD to share. So I skipped over to my grandma's room and gave her a taste. I hand fed it to her and she said, "Tastes bad." Oh man, I was so depressed. She had this expressionless face when she said it too. Like a "I shouldn't be expecting anything great" face. (;_;) Granny...

Anyways, I started Izuna 2 for DS and it is so ANNOYING! Gah! I hate how weapons break if you overuse them. That's just like Dark Cloud. Pisses me off so much. I also hate the item held limit. That's just like Dark Cloud too... Damn, I hated Dark Cloud. Anyways, this game is really strict too. When you die, you lose all your items and money. After losing all your precious items you would wanna restart from the save point, but you can to that. If you shut it off, you'll lose all your items and money anyways. Gahh!!!
But the thing about this game that really messes you up is that the feeling you get when you first get into the gameplay. It feels and looks like a regular action-type game. But after the first 5 minutes and being massacred (thus losing all your money and items) you come to realize it's a tactics game in disguise. You really have to think about your actions in this game.
Even after bitching about this game, it's kind of... addictive. Well until you hit that moment where you lose all your items and money. GAH, it especially sucks to lose your weapons. I think that makes me the maddest!
Okay next. When your hair gets long, you notice it more and therefore you play with it more. So recently, I've been practicing new styles with my hair. I finally mastered the bun! Not only is the story awesome but the actors are also top qualty. Seeing Tony Leung in TVB series is just great~~ WTF happened to TVB actors in the last 30 years that the quality of their actors has fallen so much? Anyways, this series is just GOOD. To follow up on the last post, the party was good. I think a major thing about a party is the food, because even if the entertainment is bad, the food will shut you right up. Anyways, it was at the Vanderbilt in Staten Island, and everything from the cocktail hour to dinner was great!

Though I always LOVE venetian tables, dessert here was mediocre, but the cheesecake was great. I also heard the cream puffs were good too. The location is great too! It's right next to the beach, literally. You walk out and there's the beach! I would really love to try the South Fin Grill which I'm guessing is its restaurant counterpart (Since they're attached to each other).
Next topic, Youtube. That thing totally makes me lose fucking sleep. I swear, I've been watching every show, movie, music video, and commercial ever made. I just finished 2 seasons of Hell's Kitchen (by just, I mean the past 8 hours) and it was sooo good. Time to watch more.

(I have a good feeling Ze will end good too) But I just loved all the pairings ... well except Izumi and Takamiya (Izumi is just so unfeeling for Takamiya!) But in the end I still loved them cause Takamiya just got uber (do people still use 'uber') cool in the end!!! My favorite pairing ended up to be Aoe and Naoya but I wish I got to see more of Kiichi and Haruomi. KIICHI NO NAKISUGATA WO MOTTO MITAI NA~ (<-- Thoughts of a pervert) Shimizu-sensei always develops such awesome relationships between her characters! The only thing I thought was weird was why Kiichi felt so responsible over the death of... he-who-must-not-be-named-for-spoiler-purposes. But Himi and Genma still tops every couple!!! Anyways... I think I'm about done venting my fangirl frustration.

Listening: Beautiful World by Utada Hikaru

Finished "Tenshi na Konamaiki"! (aka Cheeky Angel) I actually been wanting to read the series since I found out the author of the series was the same author that wrote "Kyou Kara Ore Wa!" So when I saw the anime on DC I decided to download it.
So the story follows Megumi who received a magic book that grants wishes. His excitedly announces that his wish is to become the manliest of all men, but the actually becomes the woman of all women! So the adventure follows Megumi and Megumi's groupies in her adventure in turning back into a guy. Overall the series was good but it left some questions unanswered (Maybe it's solved in the manga?) Another thing about the anime was that the episodes didn't really flow well from one to another. Sometimes it felt like the episodes were out of order. Like something would happen and next episode would be like a short stand alone story and then the following episode would be a continuation on the earliest story. ~ Ahhh I can't explain it well.
So I want to comment on two events that happen in the series. The first is during episodes 43ish-46ish, where the gang is having a friendly competition but is ambushed by Miki's ex-fiancee! This part further confirms my hate for rape scenes in anime. I get really sick like I don't wanna continure watching the series anymore! When Megumi got ganged up by all those guys, I got really really scared for my poor little anime character! Those kind of things shouldn't happen to girls! We live in a better society than that!!! GRRRR!!! Another thing, I would definitely not let that kind of shit slide! If I was as rich as Megumi and Miki and something like that happen to me, I would definitely do some "Hostel" shit on them! Haha...
Secondly, last episode, did Kobayashi just do a Kamehameha!? How? My exact thought was "IMA, KAMEHAMEHA SHITA NO KA YO?!" Yea, in Japanese too. Haha!

I also finished "Shigofumi", which was okay. A little disappointed 'cause the series didn't end like I wanted it to. I think this series and Higurashi really make people wary of cute girls! Ahh that girl in episode 1 was so creepy! You really know you're an otaku when you have thoughts like, "Fumika no mizugi sugata mitaina~" Gah!!!!!

Listening: Raindrops Keep Falling on My Head by Aoi Teshima
Reviews!

"Itazura na Kiss" or "Mischievious Kiss", is one of this season's new anime series. It's basically about this girl who confesses her love to her crush but gets rejected. Some things happen and the girl comes to live in the same house with her crush. So the series is pretty much about her crushing over him, but the guy doesn't seem to like her at all! Seriously, by the 5th episode, I was thinking to myself, "Where is this series going?" because the guy was showing ZERO, ZIP, NIL signs of even slightly liking our heroine! Thank god for episode 6/7. Anyways, the series has a good old school anime romance story feel, you know like, Marmalade Boy. I hope the series turns out good!

Okay next I want to talk about Aoi Teshima's album "The Rose ~ I Love Cinemas" I downloaded this album quite a while back but I haven't listened to it until now. The album basically covers a bunch of movie theme songs, but Aoi's voice is really amazing. If you remember her, she sings the theme song for "Gedo Senki: Tales from Earthsea" Even though her English isn't great I think her voice makes up for it. So try it out.
BTW, I just watched May 30's Music Station where Mariah Carey is one of the guest stars. No joke, Mariah was the only one that had an abnormal glow about her. I think it's a special spotlight she must have demanded. Talk about diva! >_>)

So, here are the things I've learned, in no particular order, on my trip :
1. Jamaicans drive like madmen. I'd have to say worse than Chinese drivers.
2. Jamaicans like their energy drinks (Inside joke)
3. Mahi mahi is dolphin
4. Horseback riding hurts.
5. Mexicans will con the shit out of you. Therefore making them good businessmen.
6. Don't ever think that anything is "too fancy" for a cruise. 7. Air conditioning is the best thing invented.
The whole trip was good overall. I'd have to say my favorite place was Jamaica, even though it wasn't as .... developed? as the other islands around it. But I'm glad to be back. I'm definitely not suited for Carribean weather. I get very very cranky.

NYCC '08 Saturday REPORT!

Jin and I met up around 8ish so that we could get there early and avoid lines, but really, there's always people there that beat you to it. There was a line but it wasn't that long. However the line to get in was the different story. I think it took us a good 20 min. after the convention officially started when we got in. But the cool part is that we snagged a TAKARA poseable Batman while we were on line.
The line led us in directly to the show room where we snagged A LOT of FREE swag! The only down side was that we had to carry that stuff throughout the rest of the day... which would be another 11 hours. (-_-) Jin met Brad Guigar from Evil, INC and he was super cool 'cause he gave her an autograph and did a drawing for her.
Next, we went to the Stan Lee panel for Virgin Comics and it was pretty cool. Surprisingly, Stan Lee is very funny! Also, he has a very animated voice - I would love to hear him read a comic to me. Haha...
We split up afterwards, Jin went to the Mike Mignola panel and I went to the TM Revolution panel! Saw a long ass video of TMR's works but it was worth it when he finally came out!! Very cool.

Surprisingly, TMR's english is good - well ... enough to get by. Highlight of the panel was during the Q&A, when some girl asked him to go to Florida and he eventually responded by saying, "Sure, give me your number" and she like flips out and proceeded to scream out her number. Very cute.
We went back to the show room again and saw a lot of cool people.

Simone Legno. I actually didn't know who he was at first, but I found out he was creator of TOKIDOKI(Got told off by Jin ... Haha, not really). I like that brand but it's a little expensive... well I guess everthing is expensive for a college student.
Then I walked by the Devil's Due booth and found out Milo Ventimiglia was doing a signing! MV is way hot in person!

Also saw creators of Avatar, Archie, and VG Cats, Melody Anderson and others. Really, we spent most of the time at the show room because by the time we went downstairs to the panels, they were all packed!

(Some awesome Avatar cosplayers)
We decided to get on line for the TMR concert because the line was forming at like 5PM. (We were afraid we weren't gonna get seats) So we waited for 4 hours on line (and we all know how line waiting gets).
We landed fairly decent seats though. We were all having a lot of fun before the concert with the cameraman taking pictures of the audience. "Will YAOI for TMR" <- LOL! The highlight of the concert was definitely when he did Heart of Soul and everybody sang along to it. Very sweet. And when he came out in his TMR @ NYCC 08 t-shirt for the encore and did High Pressure and 2 or 3 other songs. He sings really good live!
We went to eat Korean BBQ afterwards and saw the TMR staff eating there! We went home and I went straight to bed cause I was just sooooo exhuasted. All in all it was a great day. The only thing that sucked was that they didn't have as many anime/manga booths there as I expected there to be. But I'd definitely go back next year.

Just started Higurashi no Naku Koro ni and this is this first time I've been scared of cute girls. Oh man... Rena is so creepy.
So funny incident, I was reading a funny manga at night and it was so funny but I couldn't laugh 'cause my boyfriend's parents were sleeping next door. I felt I was in a punishment game in Gaki no Tsukai.

Listening: Just Like Starting Over by John Lennon
Gah... Regarding last post, it was Killua that Mihashi reminds me of.
Anyways I saw Utada's "Heart Station" which is below...

It makes me a little mad because I liked the song a little better before I watched the video. Something about it that I didn't like. Also I didn't understand too well until RetroJapan pointed it out for the world... (Which I am amazed by how fast he did it!)
I also don't like how Hikki looks so boyish now!( - 3-) <- Can you understand that? It's making a "poo" sound BTW. Okay that was enough, back to Marketing for me ...

Listening: I'm Really Hurt by Jacky Cheung
So I started watching Ookiku Furikabutte and it's something about it that really makes my imagination run wild. Haha.. Also I noticed that Mihashi really looks like.... shit... that kid from HunterxHunter.... I'll get to it soon.
You know, I noticed I have a pretty good ear for voices. I recognize voice actors almost immediately. Or maybe I'm just the type to notice those kind of details.
Well I have to go sell my books. If you never hear from me again, somebody check my Campusbin account!

Listening: My Cool by Adam Tensta
This song reminds me of another one but I can't figure out which one. But speaking of new songs, I just heard the new Michael Jackson song... not that great. MJ and Akon doesn't really make a good match... And did anybody see the video for Timbaland's "Scream," the costume/art director has very poor taste for making Keri and Nicole wear that nasty burglar's mask. I know they're supposed be burglars ... but still, the video could've done without the masks.

Listening: Just Want You by Coco Lee
Finished Kimagure Orange Road! It wasn't the best manga I've read but it definitely had that classic 80's manga feel to it. That sweet feeling of "everlasting love", you know? (Ch. 134 Kyaa! <3) The biggest problem I was that it was so damn long! Come on?! 18 Volumes?! Why did mangas from the 80s like to drag on like that?!

Listening: Stay Gold by Utada Hikaru
I was watching War of the In-Laws 2 and noticed that it totally stole it's idea from "The Devil Wears Prada"! But seeing that the series is just a copy of its predecessor, I guess I can't be too harsh. But lately it seems that the media has been lacking in the creative division. Everything is a remake of this or a sequel to that, using clips of that. You know?

Listening: Just Fine by Mary J. Blige
Just finished watching Night Wizard The Animation. It was good. Not the best one I've seen but it was good. I had a inkling of what was going to happen. Maybe it was predictable or maybe I just watch too much anime. The one thing I really hated about the series was the theme songs! For such an anime that was actually good, they should of had better theme songs. The opening "Kurenai" was okay... I guess, it eventually grew on me. But the ending was so annoying!
And if you wanted to know, the wedding was successful. I've come to realize 2 days before a wedding, the wedding day, and the day after the wedding are the busiest days ever. Well I guess the day after isn't really a busy day but more a day of rest. My feet still hurt!

Listening: 2 Hearts by Kish Mauve
Yay! Update~ Layout is based on: "The Puzzle": Van Gogh's Starry Night, $13
It's that time of the year again. Yes, it's Christmas. Usually it's really nice and festive around this time of the year, but for me it really feels pretty drab. Well #1 reason is that I'm broke and can't go Christmas shopping, so couldn't absorb enough Christmas spirit. #2 No Christmas tree in my house this year. A first in many many years! Mainly cause my house is currently under construction. I'm really dreading Christmas. Oh and tomorrow is the 1 year anniversary of her death... but it seems like no one has remembered! Yikes! That's what you get for being an evil person.
Anyways, I watched "I am Legend" the other day with the Chairman.
It was actually pretty good. Definitely has some of that Will Smith humor in it. From the commercials you would never think that it would be a scary movie. ... Or maybe I'm just a scaredy cat?

Layout
Version 35 a really bad vector of Van Gogh's Starry Night. He must be doing 360s in his grave cause of how I butchered his master piece. The layout was made with Adobe Photoshop 7.0 that no longer can do filters. Useless bantering since October 19, 2002.
