AROMATHERAPY MASSAGE
Many body
systems are affected during the aromatherapy treatment. The massage technique
compliments and heightens the effect of the blend on these systems.
The skin is toned and stimulated with superficial and consequently deep tissue circulation being increased. As a result, the skin colour is improved and cellular activity improved.
The circulation is improved, increasing the blood flow to the muscles and tissues, healing and improving their condition.
The lymphatic system, responsible for the cleansing and removal of waste products from the blood and tissues is improved dramatically. Oedema (swelling) is also improved and the general ability of the system increased.
The digestive system is stimulated. This improves absorption and effectiveness of the system.
The endocrine system (hormonal) can be regulated and maintained by the regular use of essential oils to treat symptoms concerning this system.
The aromatherapy massage specifically concerns itself with pressure points. Pressure points directly stimulate the nervous system and in turn the nerve endings corresponding to various organs. Because of this it is focused on the scalp and particularly the neck and back which houses the central nervous system.
