It took some time

Well, I had hope this next issue would come much quicker then it has. But life has a habit of getting in the way and that's just what happened. My grandma, Nancy Dickens has been having some medical problems which started before we left for Ireland. She is doing much better now, but is no longer able to do many of the things she use to do, which really makes her mad! But she is taking it in stride. My cousin, April and my Mom and I are trying to keep her on the straight and narrow. Believe me its not an easy job! As grandma says: its hard to keep a good woman down!

Besides grandma's problems you may have heard that cousin Curt Guttierrez was hurt in an accident, not long after we got back from Ireland,  he fell about 20 feet and was kind of out of it for a little while.  He is recovering and doing well considering the seriousness of his fall.  He will be having surgery on his hand in a couple of weeks and we hope that will correct some of the problems he has been having.  If you would like to send your well wishes to Curt, you can email him though his mom, Betty Guttierrez at:

Website

Another hold up for this newsletter was this website. I decided that since so many of us in the family have internet access that it would be pretty cool to have a website with our genealogy on it and a place for our family newsletter. I think it will cut down costs for mailing the newsletter and get the word out to the world that there are a big group of Costelloes out here!

So, fortunately for me a couple of my good friends of mine came to visit.  They had built several websites, so they took the time to teach me all kinds of things.  They helped me loads with this website, but because they made it fun and interesting, this will not be my only site.  I am now working on one for my Heimer side of my family.

I hope if you know someone in the family who does not have access to the website that you will print this out and pass it on to them.  Or they could get in touch with me and I could print them one and mail it to them.

Also if you see anything on the website that needs to be fixed, please let me know.  These are your families and you know them better then I do.  Even documentation can be wrong.

Condolences

I am sad to say that we have lost 2 family member this year.  Royce Costelloe and Eva Gardner.  I myself never got to meet either of them, which I now sadly regret as I have heard so many wonderful things about them both.

I have placed a page on this website for each of them, with a little information about their lives.  If you have anything else you would like to add please let me know, I can add stories or more photos to the pages if you supply me with the pictures and stories.

A special thanks to Lyell Gardner for sending information on his mother.

My condolences to both families for their losses. They will both be greatly missed.
