Apple
Rapid Weaver seems OK, except that is does not
allow for WYSIWYG editing. You have to write in one
window and preview in another... OK, not a window,
really, but another 'tab.' Regardless, it's not the
same as typing on the page you are creating.
That's not a bad thing... not completely bad, anyways. The editing seems to be a lot faster this way.
However, as I typo all over the place, I find that I miss the auto spelling red squigly lines that are avaiilable in both Sandvox and iWeb.
Hmmmm.... remember when those were considered too annoting and people wanted them turned off?
Now the task is to compare Karelia's Sandvox and Apple's iWeb and this. Perhaps I'll also make mention of pro level apps like Adobe's GoLive and Dreamweaver (formerly from Macromedia).
If stage one is for ease of use, I'd still have to give iWeb the nod as both of the other programs I am trying seem to require some hoop jumping. This one, however, would come in second due only to its clever start up dialog - built right into the opening page - that directs you in creating your first page.
