Title: The Elder Scrolls 3: Morrowind

<review>

To start off with, I'd like to acknowledge Bethesda Softworks for their hardwork and dedication to this EXTREMELY in-depth game. Now that that's out of the way, let's get started!

Graphics: 10/10

*Drool, and Drool* I swear I very nearly short-circuited by entire computer from the amassing puddle of drool that was accumulating as I played. Not too impressive if you don't have everything turned up, but if you got a beefy enough system to do so... *Drool* Faces are well done, some looking VERY ugly, while others looking very attractive, all in all... as realistic as the current technology got.

Audio: 9/10

Detailed sound, nice music scores. Music scores get fairly repetitive after a while, however, leaving you with only one option... turning off the music. The voices are well done, however they get repetitive as well, as you find three enemy dark elves charging at you, shouting in the same voice, "You n'wah!"

Difficulty: 10/10

Again, another homerun. If the game is far too difficult for you, turn the difficulty slider down! It can range from -100 to 100! (the default being 0) Even ten points in one direction noticably affects the combat damage and hit ratios. Quests aren't too difficult at all, they are very detailed in their description of how to find them, however some of them require a bit more searching in the world to be able to complete, which adds some difficulty in comparison to some of the early quests in which you ju- (giant explosion that envelopes the sound of the spolier.)

Storyline: 10/10

Very cool storyline. You start off knowing absolutely nothing, except being set free from a prison barge, at the request of an official, then looking for work. You soon realize tha- (castle falls around him, the sound of the spoiler lost in the cacophony.) Overall, I was very pleased with how the game "ended."

Gameplay: 6/10

The fall of Morrowind... Random Crashing to Desktop. Bethesda has yet to release an official patch for this problem that plagues everyone that plays the PC version of Morrowind. This quite often ruins the game atmosphere, especially if you don't save.

Another gripe, is the fact that sometimes you DO have to run across the continent to complete one quest, then run back to reclaim your reward! Of course, traveling back is trivial to casters, but to fighters... it is very repetitive, even if you get a point or two in athletics for completing a trans-continental quest.

The fighting system was very enjoyable, actually feeling like you are swinging an axe, stabbing with a shortsword, or chopping someone's head off with a claymore. Of course, you can still miss even if you do "hit." However, you don't really pay attention to it, if you intend on living through the fight.

The atmosphere, if not interrupted by a random CTD, was very engrossing, as EVERY SINGLE STRUCTURE was explorable, and some would tower, leaving you with a feeling of insignificance in comparison to the towering giants.

Overall Rating: 9/10

Sadly, this game would have received a perfect score from me, if it were not for the random crashing to the desktop. I enjoyed the game throughly, however the quests would get boring after a while and I'd take a hiatus. VERY LENGTHY GAME, and I didn't even complete HALF the quests I could have done. Enjoyable, and hardly repetitive, except for the running.
