Hannah

I met Hannah in April 2004, and since then we’ve become really good buddies. She plans to go to musical college, as that’s her main interest in life. She can play guitar, piano, and violin. She’s in to much the same music as I am (therefore, she rocks). She often comes round to mine for wine-quaffing sessions, during which she sits on my bed and sings along to The Cure a lot. We made dragons and banshees together (don’t ask)!!! Excellent drinking game we thinks!

I met John during the good old sixth-form days through Paz and Neil being in his form or something... okay so it's a little hazy but that's roughly what happened.  John studied computer science at Nottingham university, where he currently resides, and recently got engaged to his girl Sarah. Whenever we're all back in Northallerton we often go to play pool, as is traditional. We like our pool-tastic action we do!.

Jen is from Hässleholm, southern Sweden. She's 19 and is currently unemployed. She doesn't quite know what she career she'd like to peruse; she'd like to be an actress, except she can't act and, as you'll have noticed, doesn't like people looking at her. She'd also like to be a writer, which is much closer to the mark as she is, in my opinion, a very talented fantasy writer. Or maybe she'll end up being a Dragon Slayer. Whatever she ends up doing, I'll be safe in saying she'll spend most of her earnings going to see her Italian boyfriend Ivy.

Macky (Laura) is Neil's younger sister, and as I've known him almost all my life, I've known her for quite a while too. However it's only recently during the frequent pool games and sadly less frequent parties we have that I've actually got to know her very much. She's currently at Northumbria University doing her first year of a Forensic Science degree (I think, I'm going from memory). Her interests include hitting Phil and pretending she's an only child.

I met Mr Mole during 6th form, during the traditional Blackjack games that went on every lunchtime. This man was one of the evil geniuses behind Men in Shades (Neil being the other), a 16 minute film made in 2000 for their video production course. Bizarrely they were the only one to pass their course too! Mole's into most music, as long as it's not boy bands or metal. His aim in life is to become very rich, so he can lay about and spend his money on useless gadgets... but he works in a shop called Barkers now, so he's got a way to go.  He also masquerades round calling himself "Andrew".

I've known Neil the longest out of all of these people; ever since primary school. He's at Newcastle now, and is working for a year for an architectural firm, but is still classed as a student.  Git. He can be quite VERY insane, especially with lots of alcohol. His musical tastes suck, and subjects us to 'underground' commercial dance music... which is often LIVE!! AARGH! I get the feeling he's trying to kill Paz and I... The second man behind Men in Shades, he's to be considered extremely dangerous deranged and should not be approached. Ever. In fact run if you see him! Far away!!

I knew Ollie when we were studying for our GCSEs, but sadly lost touch with him. Then, five years later, he suddenly reappears again - older, wiser, and more handsome. Okay, well, older anyway. A real character, Ollie's always ready for a laugh and a pint of Smooth. He studied computer programming at uni, and his interests include modifying clothing,  being crude, playing the drums, and punk bands like the Stiff Little Fingers, Anti-nowhere League, and The Clash.

Pazzy (I'm sure that's not his real name) is another one of those musical types. He's into pretty decent stuff that no ones ever really heard of; Sisters of Mercy, The Mission, and The Cure are his favourite band. He's goth, erm... "crushed velvet bad poetry goth" I remember him describing himself as. He plays guitar (doesn't everyone?) and is actually quite good! oh, okay, he's very good. He spends all his time on the net talking to Americans, especially the one at the bottom of this page (the lucky git), so he goes to bed at about 5am and wakes up at 2pm I think. Something like that. He's GREAT at pool.

He went to Liverpool uni and graduated with a degree in zoology. Despite being a really nice guy he's also a total nut who in his spare time plays with guns and explosives. He doesn't have much spare time though, working at the local question centre and at he dole office as a manager! Phil often drives us to the movies but more often than not he gives the ladies a ride instead ;-) Indeed he has a harem made up of girls predominantly from the equestrian centre. Hmm... now it suddenly becomes clear why he still works there!

Zantie, AKA Amber Walker, AKA "Pazza's Bird", is from Washington State in the USA (which is on the west coast, just to make it confusing), and she goes to Washington State University. She studies pre-medicine, which, in her words involves "lots of sciences, anatomy, and cutting of warm fleshy things". She enjoys reading, writing, drawing, acting, gaming, and making maille (which, basically, is making jewellery out of metal). To see her writing and drawings, check her website.
