Hello!

Hope this finds you all well!

The family has been into town at the annual gun and coin show.  It's a big to do in these parts.  Folks from quite a number of states come to this...and it's something that Pat and the boys look forward to each year.  This year Pat said he'd not buy a gun....  :-)  So I don't know what he and the boys will come home with.  LOL

Clouds are coming in and I'm hoping that it doesn't bring any ice, moisture in any other form is very welcome.

What a sweetie picture of the Girls you sent Cher!!!!  Thank You!!!  Boy they are growing up soooo fast.  The kids first response was "Where is Matthew!"  :-)

Aubrey and Sarah went with Doug and Mary into Garden City last night and Aubrey came home really late from Mary's but Sarah decided to stay overnight with them.  It was a treat for Sarah to stay over.

Aubrey didn't have to leave for work until early this afternoon, and she enjoyed kicking around with her Dad before she left.  Pat usually has work on Saturdays as well, but today was a dark day.

There's not a lot of news here right now.

We've enjoyed using a Romertopf clay pot to cook with for about 15-20 years, and my last one broke about a year and a half ago...we've missed having one around.  I was finally able to replace it last week, and we'd forgotten how much we've always enjoyed it.  The pot and lid is soaked in water for about 15-20 minutes and no other water is needed for anything that is cooked in it, it cooks in it's own juices, and makes everything yummy.  The kids have always called it a "magic pot".  They were glad to see a new "magic pot" in the house.  :-)

Jeanie has been working as a para at the local middle school and found a job making more money at a store in town, so she's given her two weeks notice.  She likes the job she's doing, but since she's no longer doing day care, she looked for a better way to help pay obligations.

Michael made some contraption a few days ago where he hooked up speakers to his portable CD player and he can take music with him to work and use it on Fridays.  It looks like a mess, with all the tape and solder...and I'm sure that the three speakers he's got is MORE than enough, but the folks working with him seem to be glad that he's got it to use.

We're working at getting ready for a Ladies Retreat that we have each year in February, actually it will be next weekend.  We sooooo look forward to these times.

There's really not a whole lot going on here....just hitting the books, taking care of the family and staying busy like all of you.  Haven't come in here for a few weeks to write anything and wanted to bring something here...and tell you that we love and miss you all.

Before I birng this to a close, I would like to share some of God's Word.

Choosing to Love
II Peter 1:5, 7
Giving all diligence, add to your faith virtue, to virtue knowledge to godliness brotherly kindness, and to brotherly kindness love.

In 2 Peter 1:3 Peter tells us how the power comes for us to live the life of brotherly kindness. It comes as a gift, given to us by God Himself.
In verse 5, he exhorts us to operate with diligence as we add love to our faith. Here, it would seem that we should work toward Christ-like love.
Well, which is it? Is the capacity to love one another a gift, or is it a level we work toward? I think the answer is yes.
Were it not for the grace-filled gift of character transformation and the sure and steady hand of our Lord upon our lives, we would be lost in sin, lost in self-absorption, and completely unable to love the selfless life to which Jesus calls us.
Yet, our Lord calls us to step out, to exercise our wills, and to begin to love. Then He comes in power to enable us to be like Him.
Whom will God enable us to love today?

This was taken from Jack Hayfords "Living the Spirit Filled Life".

I thank You Father that YOU help us to be diligent in helping ourselves to grow in Your character.  Help us to add to our faith, our virtue, knowledge, godliness, brotherly kindness and YOUR LOVE, Lord.  Father, Your Word is truth and THE building blocks that You've given to us to grown in....help us to be diligent in pursuing You, and YOUR LOVE, in the Name of Jesus.

I'm sending Love to you All!
