| The nurse sat at the desk when she looked up and noticed the tall man standing at the desk wearing doctor's clothes. He looked very important when he sighed and pushed his glasses up. " May I help you? ". " Yes. I am Doctor Giles and I am here to release one of Doctor Sarah Miller's patient. Here is the room number. ", Giles said as he handed the nurse the paper and he looked at the twosome with the gurney. They were Andrew and Faith and Faith wore her blonde wig and they both wore medical clothing. Buffy had called them and told them what Spike had told her and Andrew looked scared out of his mind. " I'll have to check on this. ", the nurse said as she left the station and they headed down the hallway. " Are you sure that B is sure about this? We are dealing in something she saw in a dream. ", Faith said as they got to the door and Giles sighed. " I have great faith, no pun intended, in her dreams. ", Giles said when they walked inside and they were stunned in seeing Spike laying there sound asleep. Buffy smiled when she walked closer and Andrew tilted his head to one side. " We have to hurry. ", Buffy said as they walked to the bed and Buffy took the IV bag off the pole and connected it to the pole on the gurney. They carefully unplugged Spike from the air hose and monitor when they got him in on the gurney and Andrew looked out the door. " I see someone coming! ", he yelped as they wheeled Spike out of the room and down the other hallway. Buffy turned to see the doctors and nurses going into the room when they came to the stairs door and Buffy sighed. She gently removed the IV from Spike's hand when she picked him up and they headed down the stairs. Spike was heavy but she didn't care and they moved down the stairs then out the fire door. Sitting near the door was a van as Dawn opened the door and they got inside. Xander was sitting on the driver's side, he wasn't the one driving, as Dawn closed the door and Xander went to the back allowing Giles to get into the driver's seat and the van moved down the alley. ---------------------------------------- Angel, Wes, and the others, arrived at the hospital when he noticed the police and security people outside and he walked closer. " Excuse me, but, what's going on? ". Doctor Miller saw him when she walked closer and he saw the anger in her eyes. " Your friend is gone.". " Whaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaat!? ". " Someone came and took him. ". " Who!? ", Angel asked when she described the people the nurse told her came to take Spike and Angel growled. He walked away as she called after him and he got in the car. Wes joined him as the car headed down the street and Wes looked at him. " What happened? ". " Spike's gone. ". " What!? You mean he's dead..Again? ". " Nooooooooooooooooooo. Someone took him! ". " Who!? ". " Buffy! ". ---------------------------------- The airplane flew through the dark sky as Buffy sat in the back of the plane and Spike laid on the other gurney. Giles had used his doctor cover to get them on the plane as she looked at him and he sighed. He had a mild seizure on the way to the airport but she gave him his medication and he relaxed. Buffy gently kissed his fingers as Spike smiled but didn't wake up and she knelt down and laid her head on his chest going to sleep. -------------------------------------- She was in the white room but it looked different. Spike was laying on a bed and the window was there but the room looked like a bedroom now with very posh furniture. She smiled as she walked closer and sat on the bed. Spike breathed softly as she placed her hand on his chest and could barely feel his heartbeat. Spike sighed when he opened his eyes and looked at her. " Hello Luv. ". " Hello. ". " Thank you. ". " Shhhhhhhhh. It's ok. ". " We're not out of trouble, Pet, he's still after us. ". Spike looked at the window when she tipped his nose down and gently kissed him. Spike looked surprised then pleased as she laid with him and rested her head on his chest. " I promised to take care of you and I will. ". " I know, Pet, but you still have work to do. I'm still broken. ". " We'll fix that. One step at a time. ". Spike smiled at her as she looked up at him then nodded and she snuggled closer. Spike's heart thumped along as she tapped her fingers on his chest and he stroked her hair. ---------------------------- Buffy woke to the sounds of the plane landing as she looked at Spike and he was half awake. He smiled at her as she moved closer and kissed him. He looked stunned as she smiled and took his hand in hers. " Where are we? ". " Home. ", Buffy said as he smiled then closed his eyes and went back to sleep. Buffy helped the stewardess wheel Spike out the plane as Giles brought the van closer and they got Spike inside. The van moved down the street as she smiled and held Spike's hand and watched the countryside go by. --------------------------------------------------------------------- --------- --------- Angel sat at the desk when Eve walked inside and he looked at her. Eve walked closer when she slammed her hands on the desk and fire, literally, danced in her eyes. " Well, you really fucked up big time! I have had every psi, oracle, and mage scanning for Spike and it's like he fell off the face of the earth! The Head Office is spitting fire! I mean REAL fire! ". " I'll find him. ". " You better! The Head Office is starting to think they made a big mistake in backing you and I am starting to agree with them! Some hero! ", Eve said as she left the office and Angel roared scattering the papers on his desk on the floor. " Why couldn't you have just stayed dead!? ". |
