| Buffy woke to his breathing when his eyes snapped open and he tossed her off of him. " Oh shit! Oh shit! Oh shit! ", Spike said when he got out of the bed and crawled to the corner. Buffy watched as he curled into a ball and rocked back and forth. She got up when she walked to him and he shook his head. He mumbled to himself as she knelt down and he looked at her. " What am I!? What the fuck am I!? ", Spike asked as she touched his hair and he moved away from her. " Spike, listen to me, it's just memories. They can't hurt you. ". " I hurt people! Ohhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh, shit, what I did! How can you look at me!? I'm a monster! ", " That isn't you anymore! You aren't like that! ". " I'm a vampire, Buffy, the thing you slay! ", he said as he placed his head down and locked his arms over his head rocking back and forth. " Not any more! Vampires don't breath! You do! Vampires' hearts don't beat! Yours does! ", Buffy said as she moved his arms away and lifted his head up holding it in both hands. " Ho-how can you look at me!? ", he asked with tears in his eyes and she wiped the tears away. " Easy. I love you. ", Buffy said as he looked at her with that confused hurt look of his and she brushed the hair from his eyes. " Y-you do? ". Buffy nodded as she got up and walked to the table. She got the glass of water and his medication as she walked back and helped him take it. She placed the glass down as he moved closer and she held him. Buffy rocked him when he sniffed and listened to her soft breathing. " So, what do you remember? ". " I remember how it felt to die. I remember someone called " Dru " and she liked me a lot. Never really loved me even though I loved her. There was someone called, um, " Darla ". Then there was this wanker ca....Why are you smiling? ". " You said " wanker ". It's something you always said about someone you didn't like. ". " ....Oh. His name was " Angelus ". I really didn't like him even though he taught me everything I know ", Spike said and whispered the last part like he was saying something vile and she rocked him. " Yeah, well, you two never got along. ". " You know him? ". " Ummmmmmm. Yeah. See, he was my first love. ". " Oh. ", Spike said when he let go and got up. He walked to the window as she followed and placed her arms around his waist. He turned around when he looked at her and Buffy brushed the hair from his teary eyes. --------------------------------------------------------------------------- Angel sat in his office when the door opened and Fred and Knox walked in the office. He looked at her when she sighed and placed the chart on the desk. " The amulet went off again last night. We have a location but we're not sure it he's there or not. I mean, according to the charts, there isn't anything there. ", Fred said as she pointed to the chart and he looked at her. " So, you're saying that where ever he is, there is some sort of magic blocking us from finding him? ". " Yeah. If the amulet keeps going off, the more likely we can pin point where he is. ", Knox said and Angel nodded. " Put a rush on this! I need him found! ", Angel said as they nodded and left the office. Angel looked at the chart when he sighed and looked out of the window. " Where are you!? ". ------------------------------------------- " I said he WAS my first love. Was as in " We're not together anymore! ", Buffy said then explained her relationship with Angel and Spike sniffed. He looked at the floor when she lifted his chin up and he smiled. " Well, I remember the first slayer I killed. It was in 1900. China. I remember that she gave me this. ", Spike said when he touched the scar over his left eye and she kissed it causing him to smile. " What else? ". " Not much. Just some more killing and other things up to nineteen thirty-nine. I really don't want to think about it. ". Buffy nodded when the door opened and Dawn walked inside. She walked closer as Buffy held Spike and Dawn coughed. " How is he? ". " I'm ok. ". " What is it? ". " Oh! Willow said that there are three new, um..... ". " It's ok, Little Bit, I know what slayers are and what I am. ", Spike said as she saw the disgust in his eyes and she touched his back. " Hey, you were never a monster to me! ", she said with a smile and he shyly smiled back. " Where are the new slayers? ". " Well, there is one in Germany. Berlin. One is France. Paris. One is Canada. Montreal. ". " Ok. Have Giles take Xander and Andrew to Berlin. Giles told me that he knows some German. Willow can take Kennedy and Woods to Paris. Kennedy knows French. I'm going to Montreal. Faith can look after you and the other girls. ". " Hey! ". " Don't argue! ", Buffy said as Dawn stormed out of the room and Buffy looked at Spike. " Care for a little road trip!?
