| balinese public transport is a bit hectic and inconvenient, and tourists are routinely overcharged, so we decided not to deal with it, and booked a tour to see bali's major temples. it was a busy day- 4 temples in about 6 hours, but our driver was really nice, and we met some great people- not to mention seeing some amazing sites, so no regrets... |

| l: once you escape all the touts wanting to 'guide' you through besakih, you can keep walking up the mountain, until you reach this incredible structure. up here, it was quiet and peaceful, and afforded on of the best views of the trip. |
