1. About Palm Pilot

This is my latest Toy. Like many tech-heads, I succumbed to Palm Pilot Personal Digital Assistant. After doing research on Palm Pilot for about 1 month. I purchased the PalmPilot Professional on 12/24/97. I am happy I bought it. Now I have upgraded to 2MB RAM and InfraRed link. Sign up here for free subscription to Software and Resource Guide , to be intune with latest developments in PilotWorld.

The good thing about this is it fits into your pocket and is programmable.

3. Programs you should not be without

Palmscape for WWW browsing.
Aportis Doc - It expands the compressed data while you reading thus saving lot of memory. There are many books formatted for Aportis Doc which you can read while your wife is busy shopping in the mall.
HandyShopper - Shopping List Tool. You can categorize the shopping list according to the stores!. You can even create a category to handle your daughter's birthday shopping list.
News Pad - NNTP client, to read USENET.
T G Postman - POP3/APOP3 & SMTP client, to send and receive Email.
GlucoPilot - If you have diabetes & monitoring your blood glucose level. It allows you to log your reading under different categories. It can chart the readings in line, pie chart, & histogram. It can export the recorded data to your computer, where you can use the data in your favourite spreadsheet program to analyse. I have written glucopilot2gnuplot a perl script which will extract the required data according to the category,or time period. The converted data can be fed to Gnuplot to plot in Linux or DOS.
